He is ineligible for the USNTs until he leaves that bigot club of his but I don't make the rules. If it's ok to support bigotry and bigoted institutions on this forum then fine, I will remember that. If I am violating ToS or out of line on this then please send me a message or notify a moderator to do the same. I can't be the only one who sees a problem here.
First of all, I'm not the one telling long-time forum members to get a shrink because they have a clear difference of opinion... Let's keep that in mind.
I don't see the problem. He could always leave Chivas, like Omar Salgado or Juan Pablo Ocegueda. He could join the USMNT later, like Julio Morales. Until he files a one-time switch, he's a YA.

Apart from the fact that this forum has pretty clearly been for American citizens (or possible/likely ones) playing soccer in foreign countries pretty much for its entire existence -- despite occasional dissent, to be sure -- and the fact that there is also a forum for discussing the MNT, why not just let the marketplace of interest decide? If or when people lose interest in reading and posting about U.S. citizen and former YNT player Alex Zendejas, they will stop doing it. (Rossi's thread is sitting quietly on page 3 of this forum at present.) Happy Thanksgiving.
Because Chivas is a club with a bigoted policy for their dual national players. Their policy, as it pertains to Mexico/USA dual nationals is anti-american, therefore it should be criticized, mocked, resisted and ultimately rejected. Of course all these are my own opinions and others are free to disagree as well. I hope you enjoyed your holiday. Chivas' bigoted policy troubles me in general but now we have lost a bright young talent to that club so I have a vested interest in publicly lambasting them for it. What was abstract became very real when Alex signed with them. I don't like their policy and make no apologies for disliking it.
Starts again for U20s: Sub20 starting XI for the second leg of the quarterfinals. A Santos win would put los Guerreros in the semifinals against Leon. pic.twitter.com/nnz50dfEI0— Club Santos EN (@ClubSantosEn) November 27, 2016
Zendejas' 2016 Apertura: 12 games (11 starts) for the U20s, scoring two goals 3 starts in Copa MX 1 sub appearance in Liga MX
He's interviewed in this video on cross-border players: https://www.theguardian.com/world/v...-football-mexico-video?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other It includes his brother who it sounds like has joined a 2nd division club in Mexico, but I don't think they give him name. Any ideas?

Still playing for the U20's, missing the U20 World Cup, and has never been called in for any Mexican youth national teams. He's made his bed. I don't want any kid that has renounced the USA ever stepping foot on the pitch in the red, white and blue. Wish this thread would die as Dave alluded to but Boston Red has to keep posting updates...
