The "way 'round the rules" is to bring these kids on a tourist visa, then send them back periodically every few months as their visas expire.

Money can still be exchanged hands, even if surreptitiously ... not that a Georgian with multiple arrests for financial shenanigans would ever do anything of that nature.

The min. for youth age players is just under that figure. The min. for players over 21 (I think that's the cutoff, anyway) is closer to a half-million Euros.

If we get enough Americans down there I will have a new favorite Mexican League team.

How many do you need? I have:

    Castillo Carillo Edgar Eduardo 1986
    Chavez Badillo Carlo Ivan 1997
    Corona Crespin Joe Benny 1990
    Garibay Ayala Edgar 1997
    Garza Early Gregory Martin 1991
    Gonzalez Fernandez Ruben 1997
    Quevedo Arvizu Saul Hiram 1997
    Saucedo Najera Cirilo 1982

There are almost certainly more, but these are confirmed. The de la Fuente data is a bit confusing, but it's probably the right guy.

So basically he signed with his "hometown" team. Does Ale get a Hone Grown player tag? ;)

Does anyone else think this is a master plan by the MFF to have Tijuana sign a bunch of our youth prospects only to kill their development and hurt out NT? I totally think so!

If that was the case then they would be signing non-Hispanic kids as well.
