Hi ReadyToDoIt, Yes, the league is and has been professional for decades now. The money is not great by European standards. I think the average salary could be in the range of $1,000-$2,000/month but bear in mind that there is a great divide between the big clubs and the bottom dwellers, much like any other league in the world. I think the highest salary I've heard reported was $80,000/year paid to one of the FK Tirana strikers a couple of years back. That is one the most storied clubs in the country that hails from the capital and currently pays top dollars. They could pay even more today. I'm an expat who left Albania 13 yars ago so my info might be of little help. There are a couple of poster here who are beter informed than I am but recently there hasn't been much activity of this sub-forum. You might find more helpful info over at the boards on xtratime.org
