Well this was something to watch. Struggling against Alaves...eh. So: 1. Defense is shabby. Carvajal is completely out of form. 2. Midfield is strongest part of the team, easily. Ceballos is fantastic signing. 3. We have tons of issues upfront. At this point Lucas is the best forward in the team. While CR7 is busy sulking like a little child because he did not score a goal. Not to thrilled about going against Dortmund at this point.
I just saw Ronaldo not giving the ball to Isco in front of an open goal, to try and get it himself (and the goalie stopped it) the ball he didn't give to Asensio wasn't as clear cut of a goal and at the dying seconds, so ok, but that one for Isco was a 100% goal and could have helped us finish the game off sooner.
IMO he looked very indifferent on the bench and there seemed to be no communication in Spanish between him and our other players on the bench.
Very disappointing performance today. Alaves could have gotten a draw here and I wouldn't have been surprised. Sloppy play again in the last 1/3rd. Ronaldo + suspension + frustration + no support from Shitzema = no goals from BBC
To be honest, Asensio definitely seems to be a little bit out of it. He was involved in the play but when was the last time he got a goal or assist? Been a few games.
Same here. I know it's almost sacrilige to say, but Bale looked in better form tham Asensio the last few games.
They need to go back to the basics. I don't know how many times more than one player tried to do way more than he had to. Look for the player in the better position and connect. That last Asensio play was so frustrating to watch.
Lol if you put an imbecile next to a group of physics PhDs, do you expect the moron to start doing math? ********, he can barely speak English. His receding hairline is probably linked hand in hand with increasing autism and decreasing playing ability.
How can a professional footballer, among the elite of the elite, that trains everyday can miss an wide open net like Ramos did. Like it wasnt even on target. It has to be some curse.
I really want to slap CR7 around. I guess being rich, handsome, and the top paid athlete in the world excuses you from acting like a little bitch.
Seriously, i'm kind of sure most players would kick that into the net if they tried to kick it over the goal.
You think? I was wholly unimpressed with his performance today. Always seemed to take 1 too many dribbles and try to draw the foul, interrupting play. Glaring example was when he had an open look at Pacheco's net and instead tried to round 2 more defenders.
Manu should have been sent off. That elbow smash right in the face was pathetic. Varane also had a shout for a penalty when Alexis dragged him down with both arms.
And to think, my GF actually bought me this season's jersey (black away uniform looks great BTW). GODD@MNIT.
It's that small field mentality some of our players suffer from. Trying to create a beautiful goal when we just need to ********ing score. Asensio the last 2 games comes to mind. Why try an elastico when you can play the ball across the goal as a cross/shot?
Sure at times he makes 1 feint to much, but he is the only player upfront who regulary provides feints and often goes through and provides danger. As for being unimpressed, he went nicely with the whole team today but still provided more than CR7 or Asensio.
