Well, good enough for Valencia FC should be good enough for me. Not sure which senior #10 Perez you have in mind. But I am fond of this junior #10 Perez. https://uicflames.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5949 Rarely have I so lamented a player transferring from the Zips, but I really like this kid. He has real style and genuine love for the game. His family calls him Chino. So do his friends. And coaches. And fans....[/QUOTE]

Horizon League Player of The Year. https://uicflames.com/news/2018/11/5/mens-soccer-perez-todd-named-players-of-the-year.aspx Way to go, Chino!
Was Jesus Perez homesick or did he not get along with the Zips coaches or did he not think he was playing enough?
More than anything, Chino was truly homesick. That is what I keep hearing. Beyond that, I always thought that he deserved more playing time. He also suffered a few nagging, minor injuries, like freshmen often do, that hampered his time on the pitch. There is nothing I have heard about him having any other trouble, but who knows what happens behind closed doors.
Thanks. He's a good little player. Will be interesting to see if the Fire try and sign him this winter.
Though not an athletic specimen, Chino is a very intuitive player. Great futbol instincts. I liked him immediately. Comes from a solid family. I hope CHI Fire sign him after his senior season.
MAC "Quarterfinal" Akron 2-1 Southern Illinois, Edwardsville This was not as close as the score might suggest. Zips dominated large portions of this match. I will re-check the boxscore on this, but the Zips had 17 Corner Kicks! 5th year senior forward Ezana Kahsay played the most complete match I have ever seen him play.
Hey, sounds like the Zips I know and love finally decided to show up! Wow. Nice. I've been pulling for him since he was redshirted. He always seemed to get in his own way. This year, he finally showed signs of maturity and leadership. It's been good to see that part at least.

Congrats... I'm thrilled that WV has uniform numbers that you can see. Last year, their home whites, they had white with yellow (unreadable more than 25 yards away). This year, they still have blue with black numbers (see readable distance).
Zips are peaking at the right time. Squad improved 100% over past month. RPI is #14 and SOS is #10. 10 wins total with 4 Top50 wins. MAC is #3 RPI conference, of which Zips are champs. Plenty of pedigree in the past decade. I say Zips get one of the last 4 seeds and do not play until weekend.
