Two of the best players I've ever seen are Marc Overmars and Bernd Schneider. These guys played with so much intelligence and skill, they could go left or right, were excellent passers and even though they put some goals up, they were not great goal scorers. Bernd for me was the best player at the 2002 World Cup after Fat Ronaldo. I'd watch Marc play over VanNostrol roy any day. If CP could turn into either of those guys I would be extremely happy.
On a different note Dest was very well in the attack early on. I think late in the second half he was physically exhausted. This is a big game for a very young player. Ajax figured out how to get in behind Chelsea and how to counter they just didn’t execute.
That is how I see him too. I do think he will get his share, but I just don't see him being particularly great at that.
Is CP the leader in CL appearances? I know we've had others, but this is his second team and still getting in the CL.
Beasley had 22 Champions appearances, 25 counting the qualifying rounds: With PSV 04/05 = 10 With PSV 05/06 = 5 [With Rangers 07/08 for Champions Qualifiers = 3] With Rangers 07/08 = 5 With Rangers 09/10 = 2 Pulisic has: With Dortmund 16/17 = 10 With Dortmund 17/18 = 5 With Dortmund 18/19 = 7 With Chelsea 19/20 = 1 For a grand total of 23. So it depends whether you count Beasley's appearances in the qualifying rounds or you don't, Pulisic is already our #1.
Clint was always at the top of scoring for his Fulham teams. As a mid Beezer has the greatest american goal in the UCL against AC Milan. You will never see a worse first touch and faster recovery, inhumanly fast recovery for a goal.
nah, that goal is the greatest goal ever scored by a US player in europe. Beezer's goal against AC Milan in the UCL is the most important. Clints 30 yard screamer against Stoke City is probably his best goal followed closely by the Deuce against Frank Lumpies Chelsea. He was on fire that match.
