Both of those teams are far better than Guatemala and he has 0 chance of being called in for Euro qualifiers in 2019

To be fair tho, I'd rather play two of those three teams on the road over one of them by a far margin. And I'm not talking about a micronation in between France and Germany or a former Soviet state.
Actually a very good result given the fact the complete selection has been together just about a week with the new signed players and the players returning from national team tournement duties.
No, Huntelaar wasn't a 90-minute player last year, IIRC. Maybe not a bad result, but a big game upcoming with lots riding on it and little margin for error.
He's not 1st choice. Last season they used Tadic as the striker. This season I think they will try to revive Dolberg as the striker, who after his injury never got back to the stunning performance he had before that.
The Schaal might be the only 90 minutes he gets with the first team all year... but there's also a chance he plays a ton of minutes. Mazrouai moving full-time to the midfield would be huge for him. I personally don't like Mazrouai there but ten Hag is trying to give him a chance there. Veltman is on the last year of his deal and I would not be shocked if he moved if Ajax misses the CL. He has already said he wants to go abroad. Evidently Alvarez can play RB a bit too. But it's a very fluid situation at RB. I wouldn't be shocked if he played 1,800 minutes, I wouldn't be shocked if he played 180. Saturday is maybe the easiest match of the year AND in between crucial CL qualification matches so it'll be a huge indication of where he stands.
Yeah but it’s so early in the year I think the benefit of an extra game of sharpness outweighs the benefit of rest for starters.
Schone is going to Genoa Opens up a wing/midfield hole that might cement Mazraoui's move up the pitch
ten Hag seems to be in agreement Everything is pointing to a season of opportunities for young Sergiño
