Anybody watch this? How did Sahar look for De Graafschap? Apparently this was the linep Vermeer Silva--Wielaert--Oleguer--Vermaelen Anita--Urby--Schilder Suarez--Cvitanich--Sulejmani Goals 23' Luis Suárez 41' Dario Cvitanich 70' Luis Suárez (pen) Subs Leonardo for Dario Cvitanich (60) Toby Alderweireld for Oleguer (72) Daley Blind for Miralem Sulejmani (75)
I love that PSV lost (even to Feyenoord) and they are almost completely out of top 3 contention. Herenveen is nipping at our heels. AZ & Twente don't lose!!!!!!!! Bastards.
No need to get your knickers in a twist. It's just the rules. To carry the koninklijke label you to have an absolutely spotless hundred year history. Whether you're the local bakery or Ajax, the rules apply to everybody.
Well OM beat PSG yesterday, hopefully Wednesday's game will be too early for them! Not sure about any injuries, I think only Kone limped off the field.
vBreukelen sides with Stek: http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/v...reukelen__Stekelenburg__vertrek__.html?p=36,1
A victory on Wednesday brings the Helmond Cup back to the country of its birth. A loss and the cup will be wandering around Europe for a long time.
For the sake of his career and with the World Cup next summer, Stekelenburg should leave. I heard AC Milan is looking for a goalkeeper..
AFC Ajax vs Olympique de Marseille Amsterdam ArenA, Amsterdam, NL Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 20:45 PM CET (15:45 PM EST) Aggregate Score: Ajax (1) --- Marseille (2) Top Scorer: Luis Suarez (15) --- Bakari Koné (8) Top Assister: Luis Suarez (12) --- Mahamadou Niang (5) League Form: W-W-W-D-W -------- W-D-W-D-W
FYI I am currently repping a respectable 4th place out of 11 teams with Ajax in the Bigsoccer FIFA League. Here are the standings... 1) Arsenal 2) FC Porto 3) Sevilla 4) Ajax 5) Inter 6) Valencia 7) Aston Villa 8) Standard Liege 9) Juventus 10) Juventus 11) Barcelona
To my great joy "De Telegraaf" has announced it suffered a loss last year of almost 400 million €€ (= 500 + million $$)
The sooner that excuse for a paper goes bankrupt the better. They were Nazi collaborators in the war, I mean enough said.
We are seeing the same thing happen to newspapers here in the US. A number have closed and today one of the Seattle papers said it is going to Web only service.
Based on injuries & suspensions I envision something like this for Marseille tomorrow. Urby will probably push up and turn this into a 4-3-3 if we struggle to score early on. Vermeer Silva--Oleguer--Alderweireld--Schilder Anita--Aissati--Enoh--Urby Suarez--Sulejmani
That's that exact starting XI that goal.com has. I'm a little worried about the back 4. Missing Vermaelen and Van der Weil is huge, as is Vertoghen who could add a good push from the left. Hope Siem De Jong is ready to go, even if it's for a cameo. I use de Telegraaf to get my Dutch sport fix and to work on keeping my Dutch reading sharp, do you have other suggestions?
Yeah I mean Cvitanich is not likely to play, he pulled another hammy against De Graafschap. Options are kind of limited in terms of players with experience so this is the lineup that makes most sense. Urby gives us the versatility to play somewhere between a 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3 depending on the flow of the game.
