Re: Ajax Amsterdam, Home of Legends and Glory II [R] A bit. I liked the stars "he so scrumptiouz" used in an older thread. Maybe he can lend a hand if he ever wakes up. And it's 83 titles now.

Re: Ajax Amsterdam, Home of Legends and Glory II [R] Infinite amount of people singing for Frank de Boers birthday. Got to see this one! http://nos.nl/video/240713-museumplein-zingt-voor-de-boer.html

Goal.com names Siem de Jong the world player of the week. World Player Of The Week: Siem De Jong – Ajax
Hey, another thread! I am just glad that the trophy didn't get crushed under the bus like when Madrid did it recently.
I'm so stoked to be able to see them play this weekend! It's kind of a trip that they will be in the states a week after they win the title.
I'm just happy Vertonghen and Stekelenburg survived. I could barely care less about that ugly dish. Average age of the team that whipped Twente was 22!
I bet whoever wrote that column for goal.com just looked at the scoresheet rather than the actual match.... Vertonghen and Eriksen were better to me.
True, Anita did well. Making us forget about Enoh. Looks like former Ajax youth product Derk Boerrigter is almost a done deal. More options on the wing for FdB. Next target is Kolbeinn Sigthórsson from AZ. http://www.vi.nl/Nieuws-item/200538/Ajax-denkt-transfer-Boerrigter-deze-week-af-te-ronden.htm
Isn't an Ajax youth product. He comes from the Twente "academy". We've had him for 1 season in Jong Ajax.

Can non Ajax fans comment on the assertion that Vertonghen has become one of the most hated players in the Netherlands? This is news to me and I'm honestly wondering if other non-Ajax fans agree with that? He's a bit cocky and perhaps has come to personify the Ajax stereotype, but god damn does he back it up! He has been known to get a bit rough out on the pitch but he's not even close to being one of the most carded players in the league. Douglas and Roberto Rosales, for example, are both right at the top. So what is it? Or are some people just looking for somebody to hate on?
He's outspoken, he's fantastic and he's an Ajax player. That's a pretty much a guarantee for being hated by half the country. The other half is Ajax fan.
