After seven years Real qualifies for Champions League quarterfinals - but the coach Jose Mourinho has characterized the result on Wednesday evening as not a great performance, but avoided a disaster.

What do you think? Does Real have a chance at the trophy?

I agree with Mourinho. A club like that should reach the quarterfinals. All big clubs are going to flame-out in the round-of-16 occasionally, but six years in-a-row is a complete embarrassment to Real Madrid and their fans. Last season was particularly pathetic losing to Lyon and then watching Bayern beat Lyon so easily, 4-0 on aggregate IIRC. This season they got Lyon again - couldn't ask for a much better draw - so they absolutely had to win.

They have to bring back the Galaticos policy and buy Eto, Messi, Drogba, etc... :D
