Wow, just 1-0 vs Chinese Taipei? I am reconsidering my opinion about Thailand having a chance to qualify for World Cup. They already made it for last WWC in Canada, but this team looks weaker than the one from 2015 (or other Asian teams got better, meanwhile? ). Also, maybe Myanmar could give Vietnam a run for their money... Just saying.
TODAY Group B North Korea 4 - Uzbekistan 0 South Korea 7 - Hong Kong 0 Group D Myanmar 6 - Singapore 0 Vietnam 6 - Iran 1 In Group B, South Korea needs to defeat Uzbekistan by 2 goals to win their group and qualify.
It 's no fair. The undefeated North Korea almost out . Instead Vietnam, Thailand or Myanmar could get a ticket to France 2019
I might have a bit of sympathy for them if they hadn't been caught cheating in 2011 and tried to BS their way out of trouble. South Korea can win by only one goal if Uzbekistan scores and still advance. Or they can win 1-0 and advance if they do not pick up a yellow card. A 1-0 SK win and 1 yellow card means the drawing of lots to determine the group winner. A 1-0 SK and two yellows or a red means North Korea advances. And obviously a draw or SK loss would also mean advancement for NK. Needless to say this is one of the very few times I will ever hope for a blowout.

let's hope the final draw is drawn evenly. Don't want to see Japan, China & South Korea in the same group, while in the other group gets Jordan, Australia, Thailand.
Final matches Group A Jordan 5 - Philippines 1 Bahrain 4 - Iraq 0 United Arab Emirates 1 - Tajikistan 0
well, the final draw wasn't drawn evenly. Group B will see Japan, South Korea & Australia in the same group while China gets a free ride in their group. GROUP A Jordan China Thailand Philippines GROUP B Japan Australia South Korea Vietnam This draw will likely place Thailand into the semis and qualify for the WWC. Jordan or Philippines will then get a chance against either South Korea or Australia in the 5th place match.
It'll likely be Korea Republic finishing 3rd in Group B. I can't see them or Japan topping Australia. The Matildas are on a serious roll lately.
Poor South Korea... First drawn into North Korea's group in qualifying, then drawn into Japan's group in the final tournament. There's a massive gulf between AFC's #5 and #6 teams, and something like this always seems to happen where that unevenness (5 top teams instead of 4 or 6) makes their tournaments often seem massively uneven.
I still fully expect South Korea, Japan & Australia still all qualify out of Group B. Just sucks one of them has to finish 3rd in that group while [likely] Thailand gets an easy pass.
