AFC Futsal Championship Uzbekistan 2016

    From 10 February to 21 February 2016.


    The Groups:
    Group A: Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia
    Group B: Iran, Iraq, China, Jordan
    Group C: Thailand, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Tajikistan
    Group D: Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Qatar (group of death)

    The top five teams will qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Colombia 2016.


    The 8 QFs of the last edition : Japan - Iran - Kuwait - Uzbekistan - Thailand- Lebanon - Australia - Vietnam.
    Japan & Iran are the huge favorites, and most likely the 5th places will be distributed among these teams (except Kuwait who was disqualified). We can add Qatar with their naturalized players & Kyrgyzstan who is always a good team.

    i'm sure that you know nothing about Asian futsal, besides Iran and Japan, main contenders are Uzbekistan and Thailand

    This should be an easy tournament for Iran, route to the final is quite easy, excited for rematch with Japan in the final. We are a much better team than the Japanese but mentally they are admirable, should be a difficult final.

    If all things go how they should Iran and Japan would meet in the semi finals, not the final

    Some of your comments are racists, I don't understand why you are not already banned from this forum.

    Iran & Japan are the HUGE favorites for the title.
    I will just say 10-0 & you will understand.

    Uzbekistan and Thailand are of course the main contenders to go to the World Cup. But let's not forget the bad performance of Uzbek & Thai clubs in the afc 2015 futsal champions league.

    I think the semis will be Uzbekistan - Thailand ; Iran-Japan.

    I just hope that Uzbekistan country will broadcast the games on youtube.. The draw wasn't broadcasted.. And some futsal coaches said the draw was hmm hmm in favor of Uzbekistan.

    gonna sue you for libel! our clubs don't have brazilians in their squad like most of the arab and east-asian teams, so they are much weaker than national team. right prediction, S. Jeparov took place in draw ceremony, but have no info why it wasn't broadcasted

    Yesterday Japan won Czech Republic 5-4.

    Anddd today Qatar win Uzbekistan 5-4.

    It would be better if we meet Japan in knock out stage. Last edition we slaughtered our way to the final but were chocked there by sudden changes in Japanese tactics. They barely won the match. Iranian futsal is several levels above Japanese futsal.

    I don't know why the AFC doesn't care at all about Futsal:
    - the draw wasn't broadcasted.
    - we still don't know where the games will be broadcasted (youtube / uzbek channels / bein sports?). I asked them + uzbek guys close to the uzbek federation, they didn't reply
