Nothing like some trash talking to get pumped up for a meaningless friendly! 3 points when we win this one, amirite KG?
Reading through that thread was captivating but confusing. Maybe I was just being insecure, but I couldn't tell if lines like "...as much fun as Wembley" were supposed to be complimentary or insulting.
Bournemouth is way down in the SW wing of England. Almost to Cornwall. Tranmere is near Liverpool. By road, it's not quite 300 miles, but it's close. EDIT: 271 miles, actually.
Come on boys you can do better than this Its 271 miles by road and an extra 30 by staggering from one Pub to another around Liverpool.
oh, so less than the distance from our park to Gillette stadium, home of the Revolution, who are considered a geographic rival for us. impressive indeed
Not trolling, just having a laugh. My all time favourite 'spur of the moment" chant at Footy How many fans did you take to Gillette Stadium?
Doesn't matter. What does matter is how the Sons of Ben, before we even had a club, went to the league championship in DC and trolled the ever-loving snot out of the very same NE Revolution. You can find it on YouTube I believe. Revs fans are still pissed at the SoBs to this day. That was some A+ trolling.
Wish I could find that overhead photo of our little pocket of light blue as we "infiltrated" the Revs fans' sections.
Agreed. I was a Reading supporter before the Union came along and there was a handful of others in the handicapped section who were there to see Adrian Mariappa. I'm sure they'll be there as I will to see Adam Federici in action. Whether the game is very good or not, it'll have novelty value.
The Banter here is too funny. Why? Two sets of fan bases who think they are hot stuff, however both are really nothing special compared to the rest of their leagues and both teams will finish at the bottom of their respective tables next year. Ultimate troll? We don't get relegated.
The object of our game against the Union is to get a bit of publicity for us out in the Colonys @HazmatCorntail Reading eh? Many a time i went up to Elm Park, still prefer a proper ground, beats that souless Madjeski.
