Henley is on the bench (36th minute) for Wales for their game vs. Israel today. http://www.espnfc.us/gamecast/413297/gamecast.html
Starts today in FA Cup quarterfinals: BLACKBURN Eastwood, Henley, Baptiste, Kilgallon, Olsson, Conway, Evans, Williamson, Cairney, Marshall, Rhodes— FOX Sports Hub (@FOXSportsHub) April 8, 2015
Listening to the radio feed of the Liverpool v Blackburn fa cup replay, both commentators have agreed Henley was outstanding. One noted, "if I was a premier league manager, I would be looking to sign Adam Henley". Henley was apparently very good despite defeat, based on listening to the match.
WhoScored wasn't friendly to him but Henley was great containing Sterling, though Blackburn did lose 1-0.
I would call this kid up for the Gold cup and see if we can get him to make the switch. He has quality and is better then every one of our outside backs right now (except Fabian and maybe Chandler)
Discomfort for Henley 11 mins: For all the talk of Rovers being a long-ball team, it's Liverpool launching it forward so far. This time it's aimed towards Sterling to run on to. Adam Henley thwarts him but he looks in a bit of discomfort. Turns out the Blackburn full back may have dislocated his finger. He popped over to the bench for treatment but he's back on now. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...senal-defeat-FA-Cup-replay.html#ixzz3WopVCkSx
He was called up earlier this spring but didn't play. I suppose it's possible that his passport falls into the same black hole that Edgar Castillo's did, but it seems like it's just a matter of time. There's pretty clearly mutual interest, and I'm not sure you can say the same about the US. With the expansion of Euro to 24 nations the best thing the US can pitch (a better chance at the World Cup) is reduced slightly (because the Euros are a pretty big deal).
He didn't play again, so if you wanted to hold onto a .01% chance that he plays for the US you're able to.

Played 90, scored an own goal and picked up a yellow in Blackburn's 2-2 draw with QPR. http://www.espnfc.us/gamecast/statistics/id/422871/statistics.html
It's tough. He's 21 and could develop into USMNT quality, but for now he's just a rotational starter in the Championship (and has been stuck at that status for ~3 years). He only made two starts after January this year, spending most of that time on the bench. It would have been great to have a player like this come through our U20 and U23 teams, but asking him to make the switch is dicey. He could easily Teal Bunbury himself (even though Wales is better than Canada).
