    You are correct. No news.

I wish there was some way to continue the Timbers U-23 team [don't know their status either]. They completed the PDL season this year 20-0-0! However, with the reserve league coming about the U-23 team would be redundant.

You are correct in that nothing has been officially announced, but an academy has been in the works for two years and will be a huge part of the Timbers organization.

Thats pretty amazing, 20-0-0. A reserve team is going to help greatly in this league so the likes of Juan Agudelo can move to the first team.

Will will be important for the Timbers to grow is to have a full academy system with U-11 (or 12, since each state has a different youth system) all the way to the academy team.

I would expect something this week or next. Not sure what the holdup is.
