That can't be true, right - for the past 3 years he has been telling Abramovich - "No", so what is different now, especially when he came out and stated that he wants to finish his career in Milan.

I don't see him leaving either. It's not like we can just replace a world class striker.

Sorry if this is old news to you guys, but I just read this on www.Onside.dk:

    (Translated from danish)

The rumours have been flourishing about the danish national team player Christian Poulsen. But it should be the real deal, if you trust the italian media.

According to the italian newspaper La Gazetta dello Sport Christian Poulsen transfers to AC Milan on a free transfer this summer.

The current Schalke-player has long been linked to the spanish club Villareal, and according to the newspaper Poulsen has run away from a verbal agreement with the spanish club.

Villareal should supposedly have had top people visiting Poulsen privately in germany.

The spaniards wanted to have the dane stick to the verbal agreement, which seems to have failed.

Milan however should be willing to compensate Villareal with 850.000 Euro.

Poulsens contract will according to La Gazetta be for a 3 year duration and should pay the dane 2 million Euro per year.

Guess you guys have decent luck signing danish NTs on free transfers.

Amoroso is fine, but he is older than Sheva. I don't think we bought him as a replacement, but rather as a fill-in because of Vieri leaving. Sheva was out a lot of last year, and management probably felt it wasn't worth risking it. Too bad they don't feel that way about our defense.

Poulsen is fine on a free, I guess. He is a tough player that really bullied Kaka when we played Schalke. My impression is that the team weren't a big fan of him, regardless of his effectiveness. Still, our players are professionals, and if he did come I think he would be accepted. I'm not sure why we need him though, considering we have Gattuso and Ambrosini. I was much more stoked at the rumors of Sneijder, he is a player that we'll regret not getting, and he eagerly wants to come.

Looks like Poulson is definately coming. He might cost us £600,000 which is still cheap considering his quality and he will only be a back up. I have a feeling this means Vogel will be sold. ManU seems interested and since we got him for nothing it will be all profit.

I like Vogel, especially his atitude, but we have a tough midfield to get into. Again, I have no real problem with this move, but I'm really hoping we make a move for Sneijder this summer. Sneijder is the player who I think can really add some creativity and consistency to our midfield, Poulsen will just make an excellent player to rotate with Gattuso.

These articles make me sick. One day its Gallas, next day Cris, than Barzagli, Reveillere, Oddo, Simunic, Gavrancic, Terlizzi, Chivu, and many many more :)
I guess nothing is for sure until we see something official in acmilan.com

However best possible solution for defence would be if Milan signs Gallas on free, and pay Lazio for Oddo. This way we will solve the defensive problems for the next season.

we would have the following options:

    -------ODDO-------NESTA--------GALLAS----------KALADZE--------
    ------(Simic)-----(Kaladze)-------(Maldini)---------(Jankulovski)-----

+ Costacurta if he decides to stay for another season.

I say move Oddo to Right-Back and Maldini plays Left-back with Kaladze on the bench.

Honestly a Oddo-Nesta-Gallas-Maldini defense would be quite awesome.

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but how would Milan fans feel about a possible signing of Madrid's Ronaldo?

I would gladly even gift wrap him if you would like :D

I think we could make the push for Buffon considering his teams situation of late :D

Why not throw in Adriano as well?

Yes thats how I thought, I just put it from the other direction.

    Its like this:

    ---------------------------DIDA-----------------------------------

    -------ODDO-------NESTA--------GALLAS----------KALADZE--------
    ------(Simic)-----(Kaladze)-------(Maldini)---------(Jankulovski)-----

and Kaladze has been in great form, I wouldnt like to see him in bench again. Milan must face the future and once for all leave the place to young players who have yet a lot to play.
A true LEGEND, but Capitano and Costacurta's days are coming to an end
