Totti has always been one of my favorite players, but when you look at it, you see a great player who is stubborn and lazy. He never left Rome because he's Roman and never "chased" being the great one. He played the game and got paid for it by the team he loves. Romans love him, Italians respect him, and the world doesn't even bother. He had all the tools to be one of the greats but I truely didn't think he wanted to be nor tried to be the "best". Always loved the guy and wore the red/white nike cleats he had in 2002 WC and emulated him. Hated his "softness" and wished he didn't do as much stupid things, but nonetheless hes one of the greats of the last 20 years in Italian soccer. Enough with Totti, i missed the game but I imagine we had no creativity and no flow between MF/FWD? I don't understand why we play with 3 DM when SES/Boateng track back so much on the wings.
