He didn't, though - he won the Lower Saxony state cup with Hannover, most likely (since Hannover's U-19 won neither the league nor the German cup - so I suppose that's the medal for the Lower Saxony state cup, the colours would fit the state flag too).
Got called into the US U20 squad for a tourney in Serbia: http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/201...begins-new-cycle-at-stevan-vilotic-tournament
currently injured, not sure of the severity but he's back in Orlando so must be somewhat serious BoochBooch @Abuchi97 Oct 6 Being injured sucks but at least I get to recover with family and friends. 0 retweets 3 favorites
He returned from injury and made two sub appearances for the U19s in February, but hasn't played since.
I find that hard to believe because he's a 97 and too old for the upcoming season's U19 league. Perhaps the websites haven't been updated for the new year yet?
Ah, right good catch. Very likely on the Hannover site (it's terrible) but the FuPa site specifically says 16/17. Perhaps they're set up similar to transfermarkt where they automatically update guys leading to some mistakes. http://www.fupa.net/spieler/maduabuchi-obinwa-702091.html
Hannover has updated the youth rosters on its site and there's no sign of Obinwa. Transfermarkt also lists him as no longer with the club.
