Why, oh why, when people move from one state to another, do they put back the license plate frames from the dealership back on the car? Can anyone answer that for me?

I can see not doing it if you don't have to take off the frame because you only moved across the state. I can see bragging about your alma mater. But why in the name of Poku is it important for anyone to point out that their car came from Hyundai of Santa Margarita or whatever when they live someplace else entirely?

Can anyone tell me why people do that? Thank you.

Personally I wonder why they put dealer plate frames on the car in the first place. It's not like you're being paid for advertising the dealership.
