Thanks, but I like being retired. Between moderating B&M during the Oliver Tse era and being part of the original troika of USMNT N&A moderators (with nancyb, MikeLastort2), I've served my hard time. The only thing I miss about being a mod is access to the Recycle Bin. Thars gold in dem dar hills!
It's annoying when the proverbial contract Dallas post comes up, but in general I have learned a lot about the league and sports marketing in general from the subsequent discussions. I often hit the attendance thread before the Week # PBP thread.
I think this is taking this past what Andy B was frustrated with. If you go back and look at the last thread it is clear this is all related to one person and their constant criticisms to the point of trolling as well as people constantly feeding that and perpetuating it. I don't see any complaints from Andy on having any regular discussion on why attendance is down in any particular market etc.... If you don't discuss that what else are you going to discuss in an attendance thread?
I would wager the Toronto and Seattle malarky has taken it's toll on him too. Although the brunt of the stupidity is is as you say. The individual who the mods let stick around far past his expiration date.
The mods - mainly me - definitely did let the situation go on too long. We finally took care of it but apparently after Andy had enough. Hopefully we can chat and work something out.
