You know who I actually really like and is having a bit of a renaissance? Alfonso "ponchito" Gonzalez at Monterrey. He was supposed to be the next big thing out of Atlas a few years back. He then disappeared for a few years. Instead of letting it get to him, he quietly worked his way up to being a starter on a team with tons of talent. I think this new WC cycle could be a great opportunity for him.

I for one feel we have some really good prospects for delanteros. Although Maleck is only in the youth team he has four years and is lookimg like a natrual talent. Then you have Godinez who I think he can replace Jimenez. He scored a golazo in preseason.Would be a lethal combo the strength of Godinez with the finesse of Maleck. And a fantasy I will hold on to is pocho guzman as a 9. I watched every game when he was on fire. He was supposed to be a 10 but he would take positions of and play like a striker. Having to trackback and defend might have impeded him from scoring more. Don't forget about those three kids at benfica, Wolfsburg, and juventus. 2 full backs and the cb from juve.
