Found an old photo. Looks like the old boys sporting a USA kit. I thought the color scheme fit rather well with Korea's.
idk why but i love this picture - strong sense of veteran authority coming from hmb and cjc, and it's a nice touch seeing kni and ley staring at the us tops lol
Nike has been in fear of losing the Korean market to Adidas as Adidas was the official sponsor for JFA and CFA. That forced Nike to offer exorbitant deal to KFA that Adidas unable to counter. Now that CFA is with Nike, Adidas has a fair share of chance of winning the bid after 2019.
cuz those KFA ajjushies don't know sh*t about football kits and decided, "Nike = more famous in things like basketball. Okay let's go with Nike"
If we are to make the switch from Nike to Adidas, then you better hope that they come up with a decent design so that we don't end up looking like China pre 2015.
I wouldn't want to stray outside of umbro/UA. Everything else just looks ghetto. Puma is way too tight and overdesigned as well.
would be willing to give UA a chance. they seem to take decent risks with respect to design that mostly turn out OK. i cant think of any national teams that have UA shirts though. im assuming theres a reason for this?
I'll be honest: I like the current generation Nike national team kits... but for some reason Nike always gives half-assed designs to KNT.. sick and tired of Korea wearing Nike shirts that are in design-- the "lesser sibling" of whatever the current generation kits are. Always stripped of the best design aspects of other teams' kits.
As odd as it may sound, I used to hate the look of the 2006 and 2008 kits, but over the years the look grew onto me mainly because of the memorable matches and players of the former, so I happened to add them to my KNT collection as a rare commodity and I don't regret that decision at all. Some people don't like the look of the 2002 and 2004 kits for being too cookie cutter like designs, but they are by far my favorites of the KNT kit line, and I remember when some folks teased the looks of our 2010 WC kit for its tiger stripe design, however it turned out to be one of the fine looking kits for that era.
if memories are what makes kits, then no wonder I don't miss the backpack straps... though it's funny if I think about it. During the backpack-strap and priest-collar generation, KNT won gold at Asian Games and went to finals of AFC Asian Cup in decades... and not to mention the winning the EAFF Cup trophy. I think that particular generation's association with WC 2014 really makes me not fond of it.
Umbro Home: Away: I can't be the only one who enjoys umbro's classic and simple designs. I for one really liked our 2012 olympics kits. Prob my favourite to date. Adidas Home: Away:
