Kind of looks like they just took the Fekir Money plus a handful more to just get Alisson.

65M for a keeper... boy, I hope he doesn’t make a mistake too.

I think we are still getting Fekir too.

Then Migs gets sold as well as a couple other fringe players. There is a possibility that we sell Wijnaldum too.

Edit - oh yeah - Ings and Origi or Sturridge likely gone too.

We will likely recoup about 50m this summer.

Still - it's a major commitment from John Henry. There was a time not so long ago when that commitment was in question...on this forum..

And DAMN, we really are going to challenge City for the PL this year!!!!!!!! :)

Getting Fekir and Alisson both would be a goddamn amazing window on paper.

After a couple of years of improvement and a CL final it's time Henry goes into a positive net spend

If he wants to compete with city then the team needs quality in every position and quality on the bench

Agreed... and one that is a lot more interesting than spunking 35M on Andy Carroll!

62 Mill for a keeper when WH spend 35 mill on a player? If Alisson Becker is one of the best keepers then he ain't going to be cheap plus Liverpool have previous with Roma

Read something quite funny today for those of you fretting over the reported Fee..We got Salah for 35 Mil...Might be getting Alisson for 65 Mil..Just Flip it around and seems right to Me:p:D

SALAH AT 35 MIL WAS THE BARGAIN OF THE DECADE!!!!!..I dont care a Jot what we pay for the Brazilian as long as we put that last piece(GK) in to go for the Jugular (THE TITLE).

Well, something clearly needs to happen, but I'm not convinced Alisson is the answer. I didn't see Roma play last year until the CL semis, but he certainly didn't impress there, and he didn't have a great World Cup either. If he's who Klopp wants, I'll certainly go into it with an open mind--but I don't think Klopp has a great record with goalkeepers (as opposed to outfield players, where his record is pretty tremendous).

Well, fortunately for him, he won't be facing anything of our quality in attack :D

That was a bit of a weak post tbh

Can't judge Alisson on the CL game where the Roma defence were hardly doing their job and helping the keeper

And questioning Klopps judgement on keepers based on karius? (He wasn't that bad a keeper just not playing at the top level).....Klopp wants Alisson & Fekir and looks as though he will get his wish

Roma were likely hoping for a big WC from Alisson/Brazil. Now a bit more willing to negotiate.

Right now the biggest threat to a deal is Chelsea coming in with a bid. Courtouis looks like he is on his way to Madrid.

We should be in a better position. Chelsea do not have Champions League to offer and they are a club surrounded with uncertainty. A goalkeeper could be the final piece to the puzzle for Liverpool, and Chelsea may still be selling their best player this summer.

Looks like we have a new keeper! :)

Liverpool agree fee with AS Roma for Alisson in region of £66m. Nothing to stop other clubs doing likewise, but Liverpool the first. Permission granted to speak to player.-Paul Joyce

Lfc reach agreement with Roma for Alisson. Fee around £66m inclusive of add-ons - a world-record fee for a goalkeeper.- Melissa Reddy

Paul Joyce says we will also try to complete the Fekir deal.

What an upgraded team we would be looking at even from just the CL Final.

    G: "Alisson", Karius, Ward
D: Trent, Clyne, VVD, Lovren, Matip, Klavan, Gomez, Robertson, Moreno
Mids: Keita, Henderson, Fabinho, Milner, Lallana, Ox, Wijnaldum
Forwards: Salah, Mane, Bobby, "Fekir", Sturridge, Shaquiri.......Solanke, Origi

wow.......and Fekir can play in the midfield as well.

Agreeing the fee with Roma was the biggest hurdle . I have to think that Lpool must have already sounded out the agent and agreed on his wages for the club to bid this much money . Hopefully no glitches on his medical.
