LOVE What is going on in Italian SOCCER still work to be done but we are finally going on the right path
I still think not qualifying for World Cup 2018 might go down as the best thing to happen in Italian Soccer first of all it humbled us and I
As indestructible said earlier Puma really needs to go. Some may not be a fan of Kappa , but imo kappa had the classiest kit in the last 20 years. 2002 kit was the best.... I still have brand new originals both replica and pro ( the professional-grade thicker ones ) in their packaging never worn... that's how much I liked them And the Nike for the 1996 Tournei de France was ugly as shit
I know this is a Italian National team thread but Im sorry everytime I see England lose joy comes to me So Bravi Ceca Republica
Yup , for me Euro 2000 kit was a very close 2nd . I liked how kappa came in and paid homage to the shirts of the 60s with just a simple badge and small turtle neck collar . So the difference in the end is whether you preferred the collar or not , like with the 2002 kit. The 2002 kit was also a lighter blue . As phat posted the only Puma shirts that really stood out to me were the 2009 Confederations Cup shirts. They were nice and that was a very nice blue, but I dont know what they were trying to do with the brown shorts . For 1966 the kits had black shorts so when did Italy use brown shorts ? Some ugly kits in recent history. 1997 Tournei de France . I also hated the gold lettering with the 2006 shirts....some liked it. I thought it never made sense. And do any of you remember the really dark navy kit ( both shirts and shorts ) we used against Iceland in a friendly 2004 ? Ugly.
I still have a 2002 Italy Maldini shirt, my parents got it for me when we were in Venice at the Kappa store. My brother got Vieri on his shirt and my sister got Coco lol
I remember them. I actually liked them. It was Lippi's first game in charge of La Nazionale and we lost 2-0
The Kombat 2000 kit remains the nicest shirt we’ve ever had in my opinion. It was so unique at the time because the style in the late 90’s was wear your kit loose or baggy. Everything about it is great. Bright colour. Old school stem, fit and numbers. The 2002 shirt was almost identical, but a change in collar detail and fabric
I'm looking at those photographs with disgust at the thought that we only managed to win one World Cup after 1982. Look at some of these guys. Even with the NT being on the up and up Maldini, Pippo, Nesta, Totti, Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Albertini, Buffon, Panucci, Bobo and Del Piero would get on this side with ease.
