Thinking it over more, at this point Giovinco is too old for the national team. Maybe last year but not now.

What they need to do now is start with the nucleus of the Under 23’s and Under 20’s.

I'm still in shock Italy's midfield in the Germany game at Euro 2016 was Stuaro, Parolo, and Giaccherini. We have come along way from that.

So Insigne is still a provincial?

I don’t care who but I want at least one capocannoniere on the team!

So barring injury, is Rugani the odd man out of the backline for now?
Bonucci/Chiellini are back together and will be in massive games most likely this coming year in CL play.
Romagnoli/Caldara is the young, dynamic pairing in the 'Rebuild Milan' project.

Mancini has two pairs of central defenders to call upon, with a whole season or two (more for the Juve duo) of chemistry built up. Unless an injury occurs back there, looks like Rugani is left out.

He was rumoured to go to Chelsea earlier. I think he'd have a better chance of cracking their 11 than Juve's. Guess he'll be playing mostly Copa Italia matches now.

Insigne is one of the most talented players on a provincial Italy.

I don't know why you keep attaqing me with this. I think you're still not over the fool you made of yourself by being a Montolivo fan girl for years lol

montolivo in his prime was the closest thing Italy had to a Pirlo type player. too bad he was injured for WC 14 and Euro 16. sure could have used him

Montolivo in his prime couldn't carry Pirlo's bag. WTF are you smoking

So you’re doubling down with “virtually all Italians are provincials”. Perhaps you should start following the French or an African team given your fascination with the male negro form.

Montolivo was quality. I’m consistent on that.

Doubling down? Did Italy not qualify for the World Cup or did I miss something? Pretty provincial to me pal. Thankfully we have a player like Insigne

Montolivo is one of the worst Italian players to put on an azzurri shirt this decade. You saw him play two good games in a euro and decided that was his regular quality meanwhile you missed 100 + games where he was mediocre at best. Then you decided to humiliate yourself on this forum being his champion for years.

    Va cagare communista di merda!

A provincial side is bottom half of the serie a standard. Italy NT is not that bad. You basically were saying at the time that Insigne wasn’t worthy of Napoli. Now he’s become a shining light.

I’m on record about Monty well b4 the Euro’s. Stick to facts.

The guy also praised the new Italian policy of refusing migrants in one forum, while in another forum was cucking hard for Balotelli to be on the NT.

And then posts a promotional video for AC Milan that would make George Soros proud.

    @indestructible is secretly a globalist?

When did I ever say Insigne wasn’t worthy of Napoli? Quote me.

Yes you were a Monto fan boy. That’s great. You are an awful judge of talent lol

It really makes no sense to argue about players that have retired now. Montolivo whether he was good or not, is not coming back to the national team again. Focus on the current and new players that can make a difference.

The thing is, there are no games. No one knows who will be in form now or in two years. When the season starts, the roster could be completely different.

Sure these games are important but my point is, the roster and player pool will change as soon as the Serie A season starts on August 18th. There will be three weeks of games before the next national team game and with injuries in and out of form players, players will come and go.
