90 minutes at the Bernabeu would do Rugani a world of good.

Hopefully Rugani learned some lessons from the England match. Don't worry about him. He is being groomed and doing well at Juve. Set him up for failure as has been done with many and another dream washed away.

How many others were there other than Buffon and Barzagli?

Romagnoli is a beast boys. I think he has a higher potential then Rugani plus he gets ways more playing time. i still remember his debut against Spain. he's definitely going to be a starter for La Nazionale once we drop Chiellini and Bonucci. Him and Rugani are going to form a great CB partnership for years to come

What about Caldara? He looks extremely promising as well.

I still really want to keep Chiellini and Marchisio though. I feel they still have stuff to offer the Azzurri, and could make Euro 2020 depending on what their form is like by then. Maybe not starters, but they should be there for experience and also for leadership. All the rest though can go, and I'll be fine. I just feel that we should throw a few experienced players in the squad. Buffon will likely not be playing club football anymore by Euro 2020, so forget about him. Chiellini and Marchisio though I feel can still offer a lot.

Sarri has somewhat ruined his career. I feel he could have been a better player if he went to a different club.

The last 2 days have been interesting for a few reasons.

One, Serie A is still strong. Roma/Juve went toe to toe with the world's best and though only one result was completely positive, both sides looked strong . Both should continue in the coming years. Hopefully Milan and Inter follow. And Napoli and Lazio continue to grow. A strong Serie A is only positive.

Two, the older generation will be sorely missed. DeRossi, Chiellini, Barzagli, Buffon all done with the Azzurri (or at least appear to be) and 3/4 playing major roles in this CL adventure. There seems to be such a gap between this group and the next. De Sciligio was shown faith by Max today before the injury and Florenzi is a key part of this Roma journey, but who else is young, Italian and playing at this level? Verratti, yes. But until more young Italian talent is playing in moments like this, it'll be tough to transition from the old guard.

Mancini - if he is the chosen one moving forward - will have his hands full in figuring out how to move forward.

I hope Chiellini stays. He still has a lot more to give.

Learn how to read, dummy. These CL games were good for Serie A.

Don't post in my thread. Your input is useless.

A strong Serie A is meaningless to the NT if Italian players aren't featuring in these big CL games.
