https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46025040 Wayne Rooney: DC United striker talks life in the USA, Everton and Mourinho It is a bit more relaxing for us as a family. If you want to go to the supermarket or pop out and get a coffee then it's quite easy to do. At times in England it could be a bit difficult but here not that many recognise you, or they are really respectful when they see you, so that is definitely a big difference.
So Wayne Rooney makes the five-man shortlist for #MLS MVP. Still think Luciano Acosta was more deserving, but there's certainly an argument to be made that Rooney turned a team around like few players in league history have.— Thomas Floyd (@ThomasFloyd) October 31, 2018
Speaking of @ThomasFloyd, there is a new Open Wide For Some Soccer podcast. Contains a hilarious update on ex-DCU "home repairman" Samuel Inkoom and a Six Degress of Separation from Rochester Rhinos involving William Henry Harrison.
Going into these playoffs, DC United is led by a captain who knows how to win at the highest level and under the most intense pressure. How much of an edge will this be for the team? I haven't been this excited about an MLS postseason in years.
I think this is a pretty cool headline link in the BBC article: Rooney & Ibrahimovic nominated for MLS MVP award
File this in the Rumours section... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...ck-wembley-usa/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
Goff has a link to a BBC piece where they have their panties in a twist over whether or not Rooney "deserves" a cap. For chrissakes, it's a ********ing friendly with virtually unlimited subs. Apparently part of the gate goes to the Wayne Rooney Foundation. I would suggest that those Brits suffering the vapors over Rooney and national team caps might better spend their fear and loathing on the oncoming Brexit ass********ing that whole country will take.
If our new USMNT coach turns out to be yet another Eurosnob and never brings in excelling MLS players, I'm gonna have a hard supporting that team.
Yes - Its probably Berhalter - But I'll wait and see who and how he selects players for the camps and active rosters
While I think it's disgraceful that they didn't even speak to Tata, any guy who routinely gets outcoached by Ben Olsen probably shouldn't be the first pick.

I see athletic supporters (of the card-carrying kind) are being offered a special "sale" at the team store this Saturday. Anyone know if this is in addition to, or in place of, the annual equipment sale?
Other than the 40% off all Leidos sponsored gear which I thought was open to everyone, not sure what you're referring to. As I recall the locker room sale was a mid-December event, so prolly separate. Hoping for an Amazon sponsorship, rather than an airline sponsorship deal.
Apparently they have no interest in the Real Madrid and ex-Spain coach who was interested in the job either, they must have a much better coach in mind
