If I was gonna talk about Metro LA, I'd bash those on the 405.

Yes, I mean those with Ontario plates.

I read this like you are playing video games...one particular video game.:D

There were (are?) daily fisticuffs at the park during the summer. The only one I saw was because somebody could not move their stroller so the guy behind him got pissed and hit the guy with the stroller...because of the 100 people almost immediately in front of him.

Not to thread drift, but if you're going to Disney expect strollers and kids having meltdowns every 5 ft. The single strollers didn't bother me. It was all the twin strollers that clogged up every walking area. And you could tell that the family thought they were being clever even though they had one kid. Unfortunately half of Disney is not equipped for twin strollers.

I don't disagree with you at all. Not to mention the strollers for the kids who are 11 and about 50lbs overweight. But what I don't get is that people know there are going to be lines, but don't plan out their day accordingly. I've been several times (with friends/family) and each time we planned out the day so that we would not get stressed. The only one to get a bit pissy was my mom...because she has mild crowd anxiety (she stresses just going to a dinner party).

(There are also a couple of times that we arrived early enough and planned so well that we got to ride on every ride. That is the part that irritates me with most of the people who get irritated - they turn off their thinking when they get to the park and assume they WILL get to ride everything rather than either plan things out or worry about having fun - which means doing a bit of planning.)

Hey, just went to the 4 parks with relatives and planning is everything. Get your tickets in advance and book fast passes and try to have lunch later than everyone. Move around the park covering areas with several attractions and also check the app for waiting times. Everything went almost according to plan and we got to see most attractions despite having a sick kid in the party (mild fever).

We were lucky that it was the first week of school for the Orlando area, and that we could do a lot of baby swapping. The worse part was leaving Magic Kingdom at night but we knew what to expect. And my son was cranky because his favorite attraction (Test track) was closed most of the day so he couldn't ride it.

This is my neck of the woods. My wife works 2 blocks from there. I work 1 mile north. I have lunch at that mall some times. I drove by yesterday afternoon, while the street was still closed. Gun nuts are everywhere, I'm just glad nobody was seriously hurt.

I dunno... There are thousands of firearms turned in during buyback programs in the US. Granted, they don't happen fairly frequently.. If the US were to do a national level buy back, I wouldn't be surprised if the number of guns turned in would dwarf the 26k the Australians turned in. Of course, the difference here is that in Australia they can't go back out and buy a replacement gun like they can in the US...

Austrialia has an estimated 1.026mil guns.
    http://theconversation.com/australi...o-own-several-buy-more-than-ever-before-58142
So 26k would be about 2.5%

If we assume 300mil guns in the US, that would be 7.5mil. That is one hell of a haul.

At a guess, pheasant, quail, wild turkey, ducks, geese.

    Doesn't work for buffalo, though...

    See below
    Yes, along with blue rock
    Too wet / Too cold
    Rifle for deer / elk.
A slug might work, from a 10 GA, close range, last resort, but you'd probably just piss it off and hit it in the non-vitals

So, there is a "need" to kill birds with a shotgun?

Is that a "want" or a "need"?

I feel no need to hunt bison. People should fear me winning the lottery, I would buy up a couple of million acres of Western Nebraska, Kansas & Oklahoma, put wind turbines on it and let it go wild as a natural recharge area for the Ogalalla Aquifer let Bison migrate from one end to the other.
    Both.

Man, that is a great idea.

Need as in you have no other way to get food on our table, or need as in you are gonna kill somebody if you don't shoot that god damn fowl.

    I know, right

There's a lot of people around here that fish out of park ponds and detention ponds. A lot of my high dollar fisherman friends wouldn't be bothered by that, because for them, it's all about getting out in the bass boat and away from the Mrs. for a few hours (hardly seems worth the effort). The latter group, it's recreation, the former group, it's dinner two nights a week.

    Well, it is fun

Are you questioning the need to have meat on a plate, or are you questioning the need for this particular method of putting meat on a plate?

How many more people do you figure we'd need to do something similar to put the future of the Ogallala Aquifer on sound footing?
