They're a bad team that lost to arguably the best team in the division. Hopefully his misses won't affect his starting status.

Green's ceiling is mid-table Bundesliga, IMO. But he'll never get there playing only for teams within driving distance of his mom's cooking.

Also, he needs to keep developing physically. He's starting to look, to my eyes, as someone who's stuck in the teen body.

No, he's an overweight 40 year old boxer.

Green got the start for Fuerth today against Nurnberg, and Fuerth trail 0-1 early in the second half.

Green went 90 minutes, and Fuerth ended up losing 1-3.

I'm guessing he was not the goal scorer.

4 starts in a row, all 90 minute outings including 3 in the last 7 days so he is starting to get consistent reps.

He was fairly aggressive today with 4 attempted take-ons but only 1 successful. He had 2 tackles and 2 interceptions so continues to play good defense for an AML. He also had 6 shots from the run of play. He had a Whoscored 7.1 which was 2nd on his team and his highest rating this season.

Great progress, he now needs to put one in the back of the net!

He's doing what he can to help his teammates but now he needs to help himself by turning those minutes into results on the scoresheet. He could very quickly rise to be a star in that league when he finds his scoring edge. I was getting concerned but good to hear he is doing the ugly stuff well and ingratiating himself with his club by being a team player. IF he had such an ego problem like some claim then I doubt he would be doing the shitwork so willingly.

It does appear that this was Green's best performance of the season, as Kicker rated him a 2.5, compared to a 5.0, 4.0, and 5.5 for his previous three matches.

I'm very close to decorating a wagon for Green to be pulled by a band.

Not sure if by design or just trying to find the game but Julian has been playing very high up and tucked in almost at times like a forward in a 4-4-2.

Furth started in their usual 4-2-3-1 but from minute 15 they seem to be playing a 4-3-3/4-4-2 ish scheme.

Green subbed off at 70 after getting fouled in his defensive half.

The other team promptly scores, 2 against Furth. Coincidence? ;)

Just spitballing here but it might have something to do with competitive wages, higher ceiling, and the ability to have some say on who you play for, and where you live.

Unfortunately that has been JG37's history. Every time he starts to get into a playing grove he gets sidelined with an injury. :(
