He’s back with a D1 side at the end of the year. He’ll have to earn it with Stuttgart but I think he can do it.
FC Nürnberg – SpVgg Greuther Fürth preview: https://t.co/ekRIILfjkM— Bundesliga FANatic (@Bundesliga4u) March 2, 2018 (Tweat has link to preview article.) I'm old enough to remember when N'berg made the threads cuz Sanneh B1... heck, here's the straight up article link, cuz I'm kind like that. Detailed analysis of match-up fwiw. http://bundesligafanatic.com/fc-nurnberg-spvgg-greuther-furth-preview/
scores his 2nd of the season, a tap in an important game vs a relegation battle rival. Game is currently 2-1. https://streamable.com/dkpr0
wouldn't necessarily say that. A tap in vs the bottom of 2BL and his other goal he scored in a 4-0 win after the other team was reduced to 10 men. I think he needs a lot more convincing than that. Still has 8 games to do it.
With the win, Greuther Fürth is undefeated in 5 games. Half of their wins this season came in this 5 game stretch. They’re 3 points away from Sandhausen and one spot further from the relegation zone.
Greuther Furth's Julian Green subbed off in 81' -- he had a goal, 4 shots (2 on target), passed at 94% accuracy rate, was 1/1 on crosses, 4/4 on accurate longballs 2-1 #SGFFCK #USMNT #USSF pic.twitter.com/y7GtIb2eGS— Bundesliga FANatic (@Bundesliga4u) March 10, 2018 If they stay up and Green keeps contributing, he's going to get a look by somebody. Looking for highlights.
Green just needs to win a game in the 89th minute to stave off relegation with a shot like this, and he'll be employed next year: 972459730823270400 is not a valid tweet id
I just think he's going to be worth a shot, though. Although I think his level is mid-table 2.BuLi and likely to remain there.
Starting today. Hier ist unsere Aufstellung für das Auswärtsspiel beim @FCErzgebirgeAue! #AUESGF #kleeblatt pic.twitter.com/qSTzdoepek— SPVGG GREUTHER FÜRTH (@kleeblattfuerth) March 19, 2018
Lost 2-1. Still ahead of Aue on GD, though a win or even a tie would have been much more useful. Their nose is out of the mud, but it's feeling like quicksand. Might be a chance for JG to save their blushes with a game-winner yet.
I watched about the first 30 of this game. Fürth was overwhelmed pretty early on. Green was so-so; he has a really nice turn and acceleration to find space but he runs into pockets and seems to try for the foul rather than make a pass. He didn’t offer anything defensively but neither did anyone else. Some good saves from the keeper kept Fürth in it early. The shot by Green was about the only dangerous moment I saw for them.
Fwiw. Pascal Köpke had 6 shots today and a goal for Erzgebirge Aue in their 2-1 win over SpVgg Greuther Furth, Julian Green had 3 shots and a key pass for the visitors in Bundesliga 2 action pic.twitter.com/ISkrtHFt3I— Bundesliga FANatic (@Bundesliga4u) March 20, 2018
It was surprisingly a pretty entertaining match with both teams pressing high and trying to take the initiative. This led to lots of back and forth without much to show for it in the run of play. Furth gifted Erzgebirge a goal when on an attempted clearance their LB shanked a ball 90 degrees across the 18 to o the left sided attacker. In the ensuing shot and rebound the Furth CB softly passes the ball to an attacker at the 6 who slots it home. I may be getting a little impatient for a goal from Julian so while he was very aggressive in taking on defenders he was almost never successful in beating them. Sometimes he got fouled but most times he just lost the duel. He made some nice passes and had a few good looks on goal but I was a little disappointed that he did get a few open-field runs at the defense but was not able to get by the defender and get a good shot off. He certainly looks like a player that will do better with better players around that he can combine with. 2nd match in a row he was taken off before a full 90. Not sure why.

Furth beat Union. 2-1 goals by Hilbert and an OG. Takes GF up to 14th? Maybe @mschofield will have seen it. Dunno how JG played.
since when has Jake Gyllenhaal played for the club? I thought he was set to replace Ben Affleck as Batman?
OMG this "news report" on the game. At least it has a photo of JG to start... 15 second opening titles. 5 slides with text... wow. I'll see if I can find something with actual moving pictures.
Sorry, was on a mini vacation. I was able to catch up, and so started with the short version of the highlights to see if the game was worth rewatching. God, we suck so much. As for Green, no idea. Better than our strikers, though, at a blind guess.
Sure, you go on vacation during the one game we need you most. What about us? What about our feelings!
