remember we can't get thrown out before the game, only when it serves the teams best interest in the middle of the game. I'm violently angry at mexico through the TV (and now in May, i can't wait until i'm there live.
Is this always the case? My WC tickets probably do not designate that I am a US supporter, so will I be able to stand with the group in Germany?
Cuidado. Not all hotels respect that 18+ if their policies are 21+ You will need some persuasive speech if that is the case.
i read up about it and they said that when checking in they require your last name for the confirmation... i hope they are right if not i'll bitch until they have to call the police and i'll spend the night in jail
Got our air and hotel a month ago. The wife and I can't wait! Doesnt matter how, but we will get tickets. Already forked out too much money to be denied!
I'm not staying overnight (I'm not 18). I am taking the train friday morning to C-bus and taking the train back to Fargo ND saturday night after the game. Hopefully, I can get tickets, and I hope the game is worth the long train ride.
There's a train into C-bus? I checked into this and could only find routes serving Cleveland and Cincy, both out of Chicago.
actually you have to take the bus from Cleveland. at least that's what I am planning. I am driving from Bismarck,ND to Fargo ND. Hopping on the train from fargo to chicago to cleveland. Then I am taking the bus to C-bus. I am doing the same on the way back. This is my first time in C-bus, anyone who has visited there or lives there, could you please enlighten me on stuff to do in c-bus? I have a lot of time to kill, cuz I am arriving at 6:45 in the AM (yay!)
Since you are doing this and you're not even 18 and can't even spend the night in C-Bus, I nominate you for US Fan Of the Game. That's hardcore dude. I am just flying in the day of the game from NJ.
I was considering this same trip (well, Dallas to Chi to Cle), except renting a car in Cleveland so I wouldn't be stuck on foot in C-Bus. But, I guess if you're not 18, you can't rent a car, either. Oh well, good luck.
Hey I love the USMNT, I've wanted to go to more friendlies like the two coming up, but I figured my loyalty is playing and practicing for my club team than taking the bus and train all over the country. This game just happens to work into my schedule.
There's a football game at noon on campus. Even without tickets, it's fairly interesting around the stadium on gamedays. Besides that, I'm sure there will be a good deal of tailgating going on during the day. Is there any talk of a supporters kickaround sometime during the weekend?
Sounds good thanks for the info. Hopefully someone organizes a kickaround, because that would also help pass the time.
You may be better off getting the coach. IIRC, there's only one train now that runs from Pittsburgh west and it departs late at night. Then, as has been discussed, it's change in Cleveland for a coach to Columbus anyway. There is no direct train service into to Columbus. According to Greyhound, there are about half a dozen coaches between Pittsburgh and Columbus a day. They take 3-4 hours and should run you about $60 return. www.greyhound.com
Mutts...contact me via PM. My mate and I are driving from Philly to Pittsburgh (where my future inlaws live) on Friday. On Saturday, my mate and I are driving to Columbus for the game only and coming back afterwards. There might be a spot in the car available. Obviously we'd ask you pitch in on gas and tolls but that's only reasonable. (This is of course all predicated on us getting tickets to the game too!) -Eddie
