Stating the more-than-obvious but this would be a good time for Sarge to snatch a goal.

Schoolyard defending by Bremen and it’s 2-1. Tough uphill climb from here.

Crap - Dortmund sneaks in for a nice header to grab a 2nd.

Good work by Reus but that weak foot-up defending won't do it. Needed to body him.

Despite the scoreline, this is one of Sarge's better games - showing well, playing a real hold-up role. Not bad from him so far.

    What a stache on Dahoud.

Bremen need to halftime to come.

Rough ending to the half for Bremen. Dortmund was really starting to dominate. Maybe they can regroup at half time.

Thought Sargent has done a very respectable job holding possession and esp a few times advancing ball nicely down the left wing with rashica.

    Bittencourt is garbage.

Ultimately he’s going to have to produce in the form of goals/assists, but Sargent looked very solid in the first half. Not an easy half to shine in as striker on an overmatched team, but he had some good calming holdup play, tireless pressing, and a few nice attacking passes. Something to build on, at least. I hope he gets the ball in some dangerous spots in the second half.

The good side of Osako being out is that it's much easier to follow Sarge on the field.

Sargent with the flashing header assist after nearly scoring on the loose ball before the corner, but the shot was blocked on a smart intervention by Piascek.

    2-2 now.

sargent earns corner by being in right place to force a great block then flicks on header for the assist!

That is an intentional flickon. Extremely common corner kick set piece.

That should earn him another start. Slow and steady progress.

WB backs are giving Dortmund too much respect/space. They will slice them eventually that way. Otherwise Bremen is playing the bunker/counter pretty well.

That would have been legend time... Josh in on goal. at the 18, keeper comes out, tries to chip, soft shot, doesn't get past.

sargent receives a nice pass well and places a shot in low corner but burki reads and saves. he gets that upper 90 and its a goal

I like Sarge trying the 1-touch flicks but he needs to get better at them. at least 3 today that were good ideas poorly executed.
