    Great work from Pulisic.

Am I wrong to think the Hoffenheim defender on the goal deserves a card for his challenge? I know it would be a rare card to give after a goal but that was a horrible challenge.

play him under the striker. He is Dortmund's best attacking player right now, he needs to be in the middle of the pitch.

Note to future coaches: Now that Hoff have the man advantage they can't take advantage because ...anybody, anybody?

They are very good at their stay at home 3-5-2/ 5-3-2, the way to make them uncomfortable is to force them to attack.

Lets check how Saracan will react.... Pulisic has to show in the US shirt, under tough and hostile conditions in CONCACAF...

The way I see it is 2 goals in 2 straight games.

Phillip need to start every game up top. He keeps the defenders occupied.

Sancho, Reus, and Phillip are the 3 attackers underneath Phillip.

Sancho had a bad game today, but he can be much better.

    ------------------Phillip--------------
    Sancho----Reus-------Pulisic
    --------THE REST--------

I think this is where the real problem lies. Their back line is in disarray. Why Witzel and Delaney did not start together is strange. The CBs are not tidy.

Actually, I was impressed with Diallo today. Akanji was quiet, which is good for a CB.

    Agree.

For me his best position is a floating SS/ACM who can drift inside-out and find whatever space he likes.

Those CB's were absolutely terrible. Don't know which match you watched, but when every cross is free across the box and only magically terrible finishing keeps the score under 4 then your CB's are terrible.

This was reminiscent of the loss for Dortmund last year against Freiburg...just taken apart with a simple outlet pass and cross with multiple strikers free in front of goal.

True, they could defend better in the box from those crosses.

But I blame the fullbacks more for giving Hoff all those spaces out wide to send in crosses.

Alcacer? Philipp needs to be on the bench. If Alcacer is hurt, I guess Philipp should be up top. Reus certainly shouldn't be. Same for Brunn Larsen and Isak. So that leaves Philipp... and a struggle to make next year's CL.
