We've reached the point of the match where I research Schalke's other goalkeepers. This is one ugly clean sheet so far.
Wes does so much right, but sometimes his decisions, like that pass out of bounds, just seem off and confusing.
Not really Wes' fault but he could have made a stronger play on the goal. But Mainz pressure was bound to pay off sooner or later.
Schalke concede and sub out McKennie. I guess it could be worse ... like a McKennie red card and a 2-pointer for Mainz? Ugh.
Good for Schalke, Tie wouldn't have been unfair, but Wes and the boys wanted it more. Hard working team.
