I don’t even think it’s clear Mount was inferior on the day... he’s certainly been better overall on the season so far.
Wasn’t impactful, plan and simple. He lacked quality today, bad passes and touches. He’s there to make plays and he is being way too cautious and then clumsy with the ball. Why is he not turning and driving into space, a millions times he collects and is super slow on decision so he just plays it backwards. He’s got the skill and pace, needs to step us his game, IMO. Can we discuss his lack of defense....not sure he won any tackles today. Would like to see him improve that part of his game, especially if he isn’t being impactful.
For most of the match, i thought CP was out of sync with his teammates, like he arrived on a transfer on Thursday and had to play right away. The team looks underprepared and undercoached.
