Even Ivanovic has suddenly started defending!

Maybe we should START our matches 2-0 down to give our guys the motivation to play.

Btw is that the 2nd or 3rd goal Willian has scored from a FK that flies untouched through the box? I know he had the one against Swansea but wasn't there also one vs. Walsall or Maccabi?

Lucky to get a point. José needs to get his head fixed. I think his dramatics are affecting the team significantly. Not sure what it's going to take for him to finally realize Cesc can no longer play next to Matic. And then there's Ivan...

The changes you need to make Jose:

    RLC for Fabregas
    Kenedy or Willian for Pedro
Baba at LB and Azpi on for Ivan

Jose gives a -1 for our performance in the first half. Quite brutal today.

    Yeah right.

Its funny because this is exactly how bad we looked second half of last season only difference being we simply got away with it. Really rough stuff.

We've been playing awful football for months and not a damn thing about our tactics or lineup has changed. Its unbelievable.

And dropping JT but sticking with Ivan is baffling.

RLC for Cesc should be a no brainer. Cesc has been a complete non-entity. Matic is trying to compensate for him and understandably failing. RLC has shown he can be counted on in all his showings so far. Jose did mention he isn't match fit yet as he cramped in 70 mins against Maccabi. That is when you bring on Cesc. Baba is at least 1-2 months away from being considered for a regular place though. Maybe Zouma at RB?

Sloppy marking and defending. Rusty looking players. Players still not seeming 100% fit. The final ball simply not sharp enough. Losing out in most 50-50 challenges. Lack of ability to change our tactical approach. Caught in possession. Bad passing and bad team movement. Not getting the rub of the green. Scuffing of chances. Players not trusting their own first touch. Players taking one touch too many. Our proper first team still not clear. Still trying to work out who we are. . . .etc. etc.

Generally we still look like a team in pre-season.

Brutal to see this. I will reiterate that I agree with Stevie Me that there is something absolutely wrong that the public just isn't up to snuff about.

Jose said if he could make 6 changes, he would have. I'd say that's still not enough and I don't think we have the players on the bench that will fight.

Fabregas needs to sit right away.
Ivan has been made captain when Terry is sitting. Seems unlikely he'd be dropped, which is unfortunate.

    Complacency all around.

Or perhaps we aren't that bad but we just struggle at Tyneside as our recent history shows.

Yes, but we also looked bad. Newcastle aren't a very good team.

As I've been saying for months, we have no drive to get forward quickly. We get possession and wait for the other team to set up. Teams also know how to play us and we've not gotten any new weapons in the transfer window for opposition to have to gameplan for.

I think if we put Baba on the left and Azpi on the right, it offers a whole new dynamic that teams haven't seen from us and wouldn't expect.

    Also, Hazard blows.

We've been sucking since January, only difference being now we're actually getting punished for shit play + Hazard isn't performing and our attack is exposed for how poor it is.

He's shown signs of his old self here and there. Nothing consistent. I don't think he's any bigger. He's still burning people left and right. Final product isn't there for him...nor are THERE EVER ANY BLUE SHIRTS IN THE ********ING BOX FOR HIM TO SERVICE.

Hazard is virtually non-existent before we go down a goal. Then he starts to show up.

It sucks to be THE guy who everyone always look for when the entire team is playing like shit. It just makes everything he does appear that much worse. I don't think he's been as bad as some here suggest, it's just in the bigger picture, his performance impacts our overall performance to a higher degree than anyone else.
