Boavista kicks off its Champions League campaign Wednesday in the Second Qualifying Round as it hosts Maltese champions Hibernians at 21:00 (Portugal time). As far as I can tell, the game will not be televised.
According to Abola’s Noticias na Hora, coach Jaime Pacheco has announced his squad for the matchup. Still missing is the injured Nuno Frechau. Guarda-redes: Ricardo e William; Defesas: Rui Óscar, Paulo Turra, Éder, Mário Loja e Erivan; Médios: Jorge Silva, Bosingwa, Pedro Santos, Ávalos, Jociválter, Alexandre Goulart e Rui Lima Avançados: Duda, Silva, José Pedro e Luiz Cláudio.

MaisFutebol has Cafu on the list: Ricardo, William, Paulo Turra, Éder, Rui Óscar, Silva, Pedro Santos, Mário Loja, Rui Lima, Duda, Jocivalter, Ávalos, Zé Pedro, Jorge Silva, Cafu, Bosingwa, Luiz Cláudio, Erivan e Alexandre Goulart compõem a primeira convocatória oficial da época. http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/futb/...987&mf_club=0&num_jog=0&p_sondagem=0&p_voto=0
If I get 8 are 11 its not bad, for the first official game of the season. Do you see any changes from my lineup?
boavista should have no troubles but without one of their best defenders(Frechaut) you never now. I predict 3-1 boavista in aggregate
The UEFA website claims that it will provide play-by-play text commentary. http://www.uefa.com/ As for the predictions, I say Boavista 2-0. I would be surprised if the team is comfortable playing with each other, and they are going to be on the pitch without two of its three WC players -- Petit (now of Benfica) and Frechaut (injured). Let's hope that Pacheco's magic can continue for another season.
I don't think so. It is not listed. The game is about to kickoff shortly. You can follow along with the text commentary on www.maisfutebol.com (in Portuguese) or on the UEFA site (www.uefa.com). Though favored, Boavista will have some major challenges to overcome. In additon to the loss of Petit to Benfica, Boavista will be without three of its key players -- Martelinho, Sanchez and Frechaut.
Lineups: HIBERNIANS: Muscat; Nisevic, Vella, Xuereb, Ciantar, Mbong, Adrian Mifsud, Chukunyere, Pullicino, Pulis and Baldachino. Bench: Farrugia, Cassar, Spiteri, Zahra, Scerri, Cohen and Miguel Mifsud. BOAVISTA: Ricardo; Rui Óscar, Ávalos, Éder e Mário Loja; Jocivalter, Jorge Silva and Alexandre Goulart; Cafu, Silva and Duda. Bench: William, Paulo Turra, Erivan, Bosingwa, Pedro Santos, Luiz Cláudio and Rui Lima.

Another early wasted opportunity for Boavista: 10' Jocivalter marca um livre, Alexandre Goulart cabeceia ao lado.
