We can still win the league. We just have to start bagging in goals against teams that sit deep. Here, Llorente is key. isn't it funny how people here said we should build a team where Mertens is on the bench?! He is our best creator and goalscorer
We will win jack shit. Mertens may be our best goal scorer but reality is he and Callejon and Koulibaly are losers. Insigne needs to be kicked out and Ghoulam snd Milik are damaged good. You look at Lozano and he looks like Vargas.
Agree with you. No one knows what their role is. Zielinski iz amazing on the left but has to play center where he sucked. Shameful
This place always become toxic every time we draw or lost a game ever since CA took over. As usual, I can imagine the usual suspects out in force banishing their pitch forks screaming and yelling for blood. ( strangely they never did that when Sarri was incharged ) These same degenerates were predicting we were destined to become mid table or worst last season. Thankfully that didn't happened. Reality is such games do happen, to any one. Sometimes football is just luck. The ball refuse to go in and that one chance, the opponent scored.
I think Zielinski is the best player right now at the club. Lozano at st is a joke.He should play at left. koulibaly is so agressive this season i think he said enough to lose like this and take responsibilities because captain didn’t . Our captain is a pussy , he needs to fight with refs, opponents if it s necessary with his teammates but his only concern is how to take balls in the box. + i think nobody didn’t accept his captain role .They don’t claim but it s obvious .Hamsik never was a real captain but when these players come to the club he was a captain already and they respected him.
Koulibaly is bored, he had so many functions in the build up when sarri was here. I feel like Carlo is limiting him to just defend, which is fine but he can do so much more - look at van dijks duties. Mertens and callejon show much better attitude than any other player on the pitch. Insigne is toxic and borderline average when he isn't in top-form. Ghoulam is still decent, we are lucky to have the wing backs we do. I agree on one thing though, though we created many chances almost none of them were clear cut chances. Headers are fine but you can't expect players to score with their head 9/10 times. We had one real chance out of 30 where insigne should have scored, but we might be talking about the worst finisher of all forwards in the league.

He has, as a left midfielder. I'd go with a 4-3-3 with him on the left side and Ruiz on the right. We need a proper regista (Tonali)
I disagree. Allan is needed for his tenacious energy. Zielinski can be a regista, he has the skillset and this season he plays for the team. And what is this myth he plays better on the left? He has played central since pre-season and done well. ruiz and him have traded positions, now ruiz in the wandering midfielder
His best games have been him on the left side of midfield (or left side of 2 central midfielders). I think he's incredibly talented, but at the regista he won't have the freedom to roam the field or go up and join attacks by leading with dribbles. He also needs to be the first to show support for the defense and he's not the best with anticipating interceptions. IMO he plays best on the left side of midfield of a 4-3-3 or as a left midfielder in a 4-4-2. He's very creative and a skilled dribbler and he wouldn't be able to show that as a regista. I'd rather Allan play the regista role and just act as a ball winner to feed Ruiz and Zielinski beside him but that's just me
In a 4-4-2 Zielinski on the left is a force to be reckoned with. The change at halftime against Juve showed why yet again. This is their best lineup IMHO. Mertens-Llorente Zielinski-Allan-Ruiz-Callejon Rui-K2-Manolas-Di Lorenzo Meret

Koulibaly may be able to do more but his job is to defend. He is running around too much. It is not good for the team. We had a very solid defense performance until ********ed it up. Callejon in a 4-4-2 is decent. But he and Mertens are the most experienced players but have not won anything and do not carry the team in time if need.
Agree. That is the best team. Lozano can come in for Callejon and Younes for Mertens. Sell Insigne and buy Tonali and a left midfielder. I am not even sure what to do with Milik.
