We make too many mistakes and were again exposed on a corner we had. We also don’t start games with intensity. We let the home advantage slip. Something missing in fional third. Bring on Llorente. LEt’s see what he can do.
Maksimovic and Rui have had a quiet but good performance Insigne in for Elmas, we've changed to a 4-3-1-2 Mertens - Llorente Insigne Zielinski - Fabian - Callejon Rui - Koulibaly - Maksimovic - DiLorenzo Meret
Good win. We need to be more compact. We could have easily conceded. Koulibaly, Fabian, Mario Rui need to be less sloppy. Elmas and Zielinski were phenomena. Fabian was great but he needs to stop silly passes. Insigne need to leave.
K2 and Fabian much better in the 2nd half. Amin looked really interesting playing mostly in the middle. Piotr looked exhausted at the end. I wonder what Don Carlo is planning for Liverpool.
Insigne has one good shot cutting in from the side, but he can not always cut in like Robben could, and he has that one cross to the other flank of our attack where he can beautifully find Callejon with a curling pass. He absolutely can't cross or pass the ball to the middle of the box where Llorente needs to be found. He must learn to improvise more or sadly, become a player for smaller games or even the last minutes of such games. Llorente has already shown a lot; his instinct, the subsequent calm and pass were all world-class. A man of such experience and skill could still be very valuable to us for precisely what he did this evening, or perhaps even more. I like how Lozano was angry after h had misplaced a pass, apologizing. That is a trait we need to adopt and keep it going. He played well but he can do more.
Agree with general sentiment to sell Insigne. He racks up good numbers because he demands being the centre of our play. We are too big a club to let him run things, and his attitude is embarassing. His value is dropping eith every tantrum he throws
2nd half Koulibaly and Fabian were much better. Zielinski and Elmas were very good. Rui and DiLorenzo defended and attacked well. Nobody had a bad game and we dominated the 2nd half. On to the next, Juventus tied Fiorentina so we're 1 point behind them and when you consider we've had a tougher start than them that is positive. Inter has a very easy start to the season, I hope everyone continues to overhype them and it goes to their head, they beat Lecce at home, barely past Cagliari and have been playing against 10man Udinese since the 35thminute. They play Milan next week and Lazio the week after, if they take 3 points in all these games I will be more concerned. Let's not hide the fact we've already had 2 very tough away trips to a strong Fiorentina and Juventus. We won't need to travel there for the rest of the season while Inter has had no one.
The problem is they're a new team and growing pains will come, they're also going up against 2 quality teams (us and Juventus) who were both much better last season and they needed reinforcements more than we did to genuinely become a scudetto threat. I'm not too worried, I think they'll fall apart in January or February
There was about 33k people in the stadium today, ADL has cut the prices of tickets compared to last year. I expect after this performance we will get at least 50,000 against Liverpool who is very inform at the moment
Yes but a lot of the time tickets are sold but not everyone make it, we've sold out a few games where the attendance was 54,000 even though it should've been 60k .. I'm not sure exactly why roughly 6000 fans wouldn't show to their seats but yea
He took a Juve side that came in 7th the season before top of the table. I hope you are right but I think he is going to make inter win again.
Typical Conte win today vs Udinese. Pragamatic and unspectacular. This team will grind out results whether we like it or not. This is how you win a scudetto, or at least come close.
