I'm amazed that 30% still think he's doing a good job.

Maybe people will start taking this stuff seriously.

 

I doubt it will dip much lower than 30% just based on the fact that Bush could murder every Democrat in Congress, and people would still approve of him.

At least its far away from 50%.

 

That's what I thought at 38%. He's gone as low as 28%. So I dunno. If the surge fails badly, I think he'll drop at least 5 more points.

But at a certain point, for him to lost, say, 6 points will mean losing 1/4 of his support. The 6 points doesn't look that big, but losing 1 of every 4 supporters sure is.

 

that 30% are the hardcore nutjobs who will support Bush even if he rapes 12 year olds on live tv.

 

To out this into perspective, Nixon's final approval number when he resigned was 26%.

 

If he did that I bet he'd go up at least 5 points.

 

Finally a goal which Bush can actually achieve!
