    Things going from bad to worse for Dubya pollwise. 58% also say they wish the Bush presidency was just over.

    I doubt it will dip much lower than 30% just based on the fact that Bush could murder every Democrat in Congress, and people would still approve of him.

    At least its far away from 50%.

    That's what I thought at 38%. He's gone as low as 28%. So I dunno. If the surge fails badly, I think he'll drop at least 5 more points.

    But at a certain point, for him to lost, say, 6 points will mean losing 1/4 of his support. The 6 points doesn't look that big, but losing 1 of every 4 supporters sure is.

    To out this into perspective, Nixon's final approval number when he resigned was 26%.
