Thanks for sharing the info. It will make it harder for Cheche to get guys together for training with the national team though...
my apologies soccerfever: I'll try to translate a little what`s the article about. Basicly its says that 25 players will play outside, some have signed others will go to a tryout, Jose Garces, and Carlos Rivera signed with Deportivo Independiente de Medellin (colombia) Miguel Castillo(Danubio, Uruguay), Julio Medina III, (Aguila, el Salvador), Felipe Baloy(will play with Banfield, Argentina or Atletico Paranaense, Brasil), Anel Canales(Once Municipal, El Salvador), just to mention a few. Hope to helpfull, regards.
Hey no problem barcelonafc!I received an email saying that you have replied when I was surfing the Panama FA's website eventough I don't speak Spanish. Thanks for translating!
most of them play in colombia - 60 minutes flight few in costarica and honduras - short flights Felipe Baloy....no team yet? that could be a problem, if he is not active. My question is Luis Felipe Posso (the guy from tampa, FL) agent to all 25 players? I know he represents quite few players in panama and colombia, but almost the whole national team of panama? Felipe Baloy (no team), Blas Pérez(Colombian 2nd division), Gabriel Gómez, Luis Henríquez, Carlos Rivera (DIM), José Garcés(DIM), Armando Gun, Gustavo Avila, José Venegas, Orlando Rodríguez, Ricardo Phillips, Roman Torres, Gabriel Torres, Miguel Castillo(uruguay's Danubio). Brunnett Hay, Anthony Basil, Juan Ramón Solís, Jaime Penedo, Luis Jaramillo, Carlos Alvarado, Fernando Hurtado, Víctor Miranda, Roberto Stewart, Julio Medina (ES)y Jaime Girón.
yes, but with small salaries Not at the costa Rican or Gutemalan level yet.....top teams in panama: colon and arabe Unido for 2004
Thanks for the info, E. But I wasn't really talking about geographically difficult; I meant more in the sense that when guys are trying to establish themselves with a new club that tey sometimes find it difficult to make it to take time off to play for country. Especially if the country's football isn't as respected by those who pay their wages.
They should try some of the league in Eastern Europe. Good quality, and a excellent stepping stone for other European leagues. Is Albert Blanco still with Sherrif Tiraspol in Moldova?
that will really hurt the chances of having a nice grp in the same page. travel time, different style, and clubs that are hard nosed to lend the player back to the federation in a wk time (before the game), instead they use that FIFA/italian bullshiiithe of the 72hrs prior to the game ( and travel time is 12 to 16hrs) off course they will love a contract in dollars....but for now, is a Humble beginning!
its official Felipe Baloy signed to play with Atletico Paranaense next season, he will play copa libertadores in the same group with Jose Garces and Carlos Rivera, the three of them national squad team. Blas Perez will probably play with America de Cali, or an Ecuatorian team. Roberto Brown will play in Portugal, according to his manager, he will travel in january to make the phisical exams. Alberto Blanco seems to remain with Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldavia.
