Last games of the group. Atlas needs to win away big.

Castillo playing LB, doing well in attack, but just got burned in defense.

    ---

    Atlas lineup:

    ---------------------------Vilar---------------------------
    Mascarenas-----Pérez-------Kannemann-----Castillo
    González------Rodrîguez----Hernández------Álvarez
    -----------------Ochoa--------Barragán-----------------

    ---

Great counter, Castillo got to the Santa Fe area, almost scores but keeper did well. Castillo is one of their most attacking players, even though he's playing defense.

    Testudo repped this.

Atletico Mineiro just scores in the other game (both final games in a Lib group are simultaneous), and Santa Fe scores right after: they entered through the right, and Perez didn't have the agility to cover. Homie Castillo tried to run to the right to cover, but couldn't get there in time. Not his fault at all, the goal.

    Atlas virtually dead.

Atlas needs 5 goals to go through. The Mexican club makes a sub, very early. 23' Santa Fe wins 1-0.

Brutal counter, they left Castillo standing like a traffic cone, Santa Fe is lethal when they do it: six players running full speed in a single front. 2-0.

    ---

Edgar confirming my fears about him: valuable in attack, can dribble going forward and his passing from the edge is quite good. But as a defender, he's quite poor: unable to tackle, unable to push players off the ball, and often too slow coming back.

This is a guy who should play wingback or winger, not fullback.

Perez, the defender responsible for the Santa Fe first goal, scores for Atlas and redeems himself: 2-1.

Still, far too little too late.

Homie is at his most useful combining and then coming inside, playing almost LCAM at times, with Brambila supporting left, Cristian Suarez on his right.
