How would you improve the line-up that played our last game? Only using players that are signed

    Atlanta starting XI
(4-2-3-1): Brad Guzan – Edgar Castillo, Fernando Meza, Miles Robinson, Franco Escobar – Eric Remedi, Mo Adams – Brooks Lennon, Ezequiel Barco, Gonzalo Martinez – Josef Martinez

Replace Edgar Castillo with Jake Mulraney (I know that is not his position but as a lefty and with his experience in attacking as of today imo that’s our best option)

Replace Mo Adams with Jeff Larentowicz (Not a fan of Jeff imo he is a decent bench player for an MLS Cup contender)

With those changes it would be an improvement over the current lineup but that team wouldn’t make it to the Eastern Conference Championship.

We need at the very least to sign 2 more starters if we want to win the MLS CUP

The only starter I feel like we really need to get is the Nagbe replacement. The hope at LB is Bello will turn into the star we hope he will be and lock down that position for himself.

Worried a bit about depth, especially at CB. Right now the only natural backup is Cambell, and I have no idea if he's ready or not. Only other options would be to move a fullback in.

I'm not even sure they can field a second team without bringing in a player or two from the 2s.

    Barco——Pity———Villalba

    Bench:
    Kann
    Walkes (Campbell the 4th CB)
    Bello/Lennon
    Adams/Larentowicz
    Luiz Fernando
    Mulraney
    Jahn

    Needs:
Two TAM level center midfielders. Emo and Remedi aren’t going to cut it for us.

2nd Pre-Season Game versus Philadelphia Union Final Score United 4 - Union 0

How would you improve the line-up that played our last game? Only using players that are signed

    Atlanta Starting XI
(3-4-2-1): Guzan - Escobar, Robinson, Meza - Mulraney (LWB), Remedi, Hyndman, Lennon (RWB) - Pity Martinez, Ezequiel Barco - Josef Martinez

By what AJC’s own Doug Roberson reporting sounds like they are playing more of a 3-4-2-1 than a 5-3-2

    https://www.dirtysouthsoccer.com/20...of-philadelphia-union-in-meaningless-friendly

I’m glad they are taking a look at Mulraney at (LWB)

This line-up looks a lot better than the 1st Preseason Game. With the 1 or 2 more additional signings I have to admit it’s looking better than what I expected.

5 minutes in and Barco is getting hammered. Did anyone explain to Elfsborg that this is a friendly?

AU nearly opened the scoring... with Emo stealing the ball at midfield and sparking a counter.

The back three look very comfortable playing the ball out of the back under pressure.

Another great opportunity... Barco to Josef to Pity who shoots and is cleared off the line.

Again, nice close one-two passing out of the back.

Barco hacked down two more times. Two cards for the Swedes and only 28 minutes in.

Mesa looks like a good signing. We might have upgraded in LGP's spot. (blasphemy, yes I know).

Nice switching pass from Pity to pick out Brooks Lennon on the run... and Lennon smashes the cross into a defender. D'OH!

End of the half... thoughts? Is everyone still freaking out or have nerves been calmed a little bit?

If we can keep the golden triangle of Pity-Josef-Barco on the pitch we are going to win a lot of games.
