Brad Dunwell (2019 draft pick) is done.

They picked up the option on Andrew Samuels, the other 2019 draft pick contracted to the team.

Conor Donovan who briefly was carried on the roster is gone.

Carlos Small loan has expired, so I'd guess he's gone.

Dynamo homegrowns Nico Lemoine (San Jose product really) and Kevin Rodriguez had contracts exercised. Dynamo homegrown Carlos Viveros had his option declined. Dynamo homegrown Zach Jackson is out of contract.

Team Captain Kyle Adams is out of contract, as is Jesus Enriquez, and Aldo Quintanilla who played with the U-23s and scored a goal for the Dynamo in the Open Cup.

    Current roster:

    GK: Ben Willis
    DF: Andrew Samuels, Robert Coronado
    MF: Kevin Rodriguez, Isidro Martinez
FW: Nico Lemoine, Juan Carlos Obregon,

    CeltTexan repped this.

Man, we did not pick up the options on a hefty number of these boys.

Keeping seven for the new season is either clearing house just cuz you can or the talent is so underperforming that there really are only seven players down at RGV that are worth a hoot.
I don't know which is more depressing. Clearing out the talentless or the fact that we were so loaded with talentless players and gave them an entire season to prove it while other youth talent that might actually be a pro caliber player, these young men in our city just languish around at local parks or the like and never get a sniff.

Jordan is on record that the strategy with the USL team is to churn players every two years. There are exceptions, mainly with guys who picked up season-ending injuries, but for the most part you'll see a lot of turnover down there.
