LOL Did you forgot to do your daily morning walks again old man? Let me help you breathe easily 1...2....3...
What a waste of DVR space. A special FU! to Fox Sports 2. They went to commercial as the teams were coming out of the tunnel, but made sure to come back to programming as soon as the Mexican anthem was over. HDSPM!
It's not. You're making blanket assumptions that are wrong based on the simple fact that it's two distinct tactical approaches. The youth teams play a flat 4-4-2 and have been doing so for quite a while now, at least 4 youth cycles. Osorio played a 4-3-3 with two interiores that were tasked with occupying the central channels, two wing forwards and a 9 that would often occupy space outside of his own zone. The youth teams, like Rafa said, play completely different. They play with a two man midfield in which there are two clearly defined roles, two wingers and two forwards that often roam in the midfield looking for the ball. The biggest difference being that the youth teams have a clear expectation for the fullbacks to attack whereas Osorio completely avoided that. There is no logical way to explain your assumption that these youth teams play the same way as Osorio's Mexico did. None of this matters since we are mostly comparing the senior NT with youth teams where the talent varies and there are other factors that come into play when it comes to on the field performance.
I've said it twice and I'll say it again...Fuera Ramirez and Chima! Not sure how these guys are coaching at this level. They're awful, must have something incriminating on the higher ups.
Translation: I have nothing to back my stupid argument. It just exposes the problem that a lot of the criticisms come from people a lot dumber than the coach so their criticism are pointless. The only positive is that they are styles that Mexico is more accustomed to playing and their might be hope in that. But of course the problem (which none of the TV Mexican press picked up on) is that these teams will attack unlike Italy, who sits back, and there lies our weakest link. Hopefully Mexico's individual attack can do better against teams that don't defend quite as well.
I don't get why Ruiz was never called but it might've been a blessing for him. I even asked Ramirez in Bradenton and he said he was going to consider him but it was BS (although he didn't have a good season). Torres got called up and didn't make the cut. I thought he picked it up late and hopefully he improves because he was a bust in the U17 World Cup, so it's not a new problem.
New Zealand crushed Honduras 5-0 in their debut. So either Honduras really suck or New Zealand is a good team and that last friendly loss wasn't as bad as I thought it was.
It's always good to see Honduras goleado, but it looks bad to lost to New Zealand that way (also in the seniors side). Who knows if Panama can get the first point for the zone.
I usually follow Wiso’s podcast religiously but he and his crew made the point that Lainez and JJ going to u20 was the best decision... That seemed beyond stupid to me. This team is just not clicking so why waste the time. Just send them to the GC. In JJ’s case he was an instrumental part of a liguilla final team. Wtf?
I thought Lainez had an underrated game and Macias an overrated one. I'd give Lainez a 6.8, Macias 7.2, but the way people talk about it, Macias was a 9.5 and Lainez a 4.
