Directly to you from Paris, the standings after this week's games, with the bad news that the robot and the cyborg topped the scores this week with 9 points. Overall, Holden and Tapas&Futbol are at the top. Sadly, Smallchief, FawcettFan14, and 59Amerinorsk missed this week's predictions, perhaps due to distractions from a few other games. Tonight, we're off to Parc des Princes for US game #2, having missed game #1 (apparently not unfortunately) in order to see Canada play its game #1 in Montpellier. Hopefully, there will be no encounters with the Gilets Jaunes, which we did encounter on arriving in Montpellier along with a slight taste of tear gas.:thumbsup:

Ow! :x3: At least me and @Tapas&Fútbol limited the damage by making 8 points.

This is indeed sad, and another by-product of NWSL's decision to have games during the World Cup! :x3:
I could have actually made @59Amerinorsk's prediction myself, since I've learnt his methods. :p But It wouldn't have been valid anyway.

Good game in Paris. It's a shame we missed a potential meeting, but I was there last week only!

I think with 6 points I had my best weekend yet, which isn't saying much, but iit s better than a baguette in the eye.

I should've predicted my 1-1 draws last week instead of 1-0 wins... ah well

I'll go 1-1 all this week, so maybe all the home teams will win! X-D

I think adding Eddy allowed SB to trade McCaskill - still I don't think either SB or ORL has a player to make a difference in this one.
If RFC is without Fishlock: CHI wins. But she will be there.

Here are the standings after week 10, from a very hot Paris following the US 2 v Spain 1 game in Reims. Tapas&Futbol, SiberianThunderT, and 59Amerinorsk all topped the week's scores with 6, with BlueCrimson 1 point behind at 5. And, Tapas&Futbol top the season standings with a 4 point lead, which is a pretty decent one. Except for Tapas&Futbol's good-sized lead, the next group is bunched pretty tightly.

I'm wondering when players whose teams are out of the World Cup will start returning. Not that the robot cares a whit about it.

Probably depends on the player. I've never looked into it, but just from general chatter I've never heard of a FIFA-required cool-down time after major tournaments before players return to clubs. We certainly saw differences in approach in 2015.

...and as I type that: how crazy/awesome is it that NWSL has now seen TWO World Cups?

Worked pretty well for me last week, so I'll say 1-1 all again.

Injury report (including international duty) for this week-end isn't out yet: have I to assume that the players from the teams that have already been eliminated from the World Cup will be back by this week-end? It would make quite a difference for some teams (Canadian players back at Houston Dash, Brazilians and Aussies at Orlando Pride, etc.).

Can anyone tell me anything about the subject, before I make my *informed* predictions for week 11? :cautious:

I haven't seen any chatter on Twitter about players returning, so I would guess they won't be here.
