(of course, that should be 'inaugural' as you cannot have a 'first annual')

I would really like to know, because it has been bothering me a bit, is there a real evidence that can show me that Joe Mansueto is truly going to be a savior when Andy leaves? I'm just trying to figure out if he will actually be better than Andy, which is not all that hard to do.

If he's behind (funding, $65+ million) the move to NSF, then he's 1 million times better than Hauptman. I can't see him not taking this seriously if he's willing to buy the lease ($65+ million, plus buying out Hauptman $100+ million, rent on NSF/SSS).

Hopefully this means that we will be rid of the cancer (Hauptman) soon.

From what I have been told, the league is paying for a majority of lease break.

    Who told you?

If so, then who knows how this works out? Joe could be the same as Hauptman, just sit on his investment and cash out when he sees fit. I hope the league isn't that stupid as just change the name of the owner and think everything is better.

Only desperate hope of fire fans. You would think a billionaire would want to make whatever he buys a success.

Joe only cares about the SUM part of this investment. Don't fool yourself until proven other wise.

Various reports popping up on Twitter, Reddit, etc. that out of contract dual national CF Andrew Wooten is signing with MLS, most likely the Fire. He had his best season last year scoring 17 goals for Sandhausen in the 2. BL. Can play some right wing too, turns 30 in Sep. Transfermarkt compares him to C.J. Sapong. He would be a solid addition to keep, or flip.

CF? This is something NRod would do, don't we need help in the back?

  16. I wouldn't give N-Rod an ounce of credit for cleverness, but he could be accumulating assets in the Belichek manner. It allows you to flip Wooten, or Nikolic for another asset, preferably a defensive asset. At this point N-Rod may see if there's a market for Calvo as well & use those resources for further improvements.

Very surprised that the first open spot didn't go to Sargent, even though Holmes (who is being replaced for injury) is a midfielder.

Asked to miss the U20 World Cup, by Berhalter to train with the National team, probably to be included on the 23 man Gold Cup roster. Yes, he got fvcked over.

You are giving Rodriguez a boat load of credit for cleverness if you think this is likely.

I see him signing Wooten, than trading Niko to another MLS team for TAM/GAM. We must be low on TAM/GAM after all.

Does he play defense? Why all the CFs and wings?

don't need defense if you score seven goals a game.

we don't do that, but, you know, that's still a good theory.
