One game doesn't tell the whole story. If this team actually bolsters the defense a 3-5-2 would be very viable. The style of the 4-4-2 makes a world of difference too. Was it a flat 4-4-2? A close diamond 4-4-2?

You said "style" when mentioning a Chicago Fire line-up. That is precious.

I would call it a Paunovic "suck special" 4-4-2!

Personally I'd call it a Benny Hill 4-4-2.

Yes, hyper, chaotic, but not entertaining or funny, and ultimately pointless.

How much of the 3-5-2 success was due to Seattle being on cruise control since they were up 3-0? Soon as it 3-2, Basti got torched for the 4th goal.

They scored 2 goals, I don't think they were on cruise, looked to me like they were trying the whole time. Anyways it's the eyeball test, our fullbacks were not up to snuff and it was clear that we handled them better after making the adjustment.

Wow, that would be even MORE annoying than what he currently plays, and that is saying something.

I think the trade of a second round pick for Herbers was a good deal. Liked the look of the guy.

Herbers and Hassler are interesting picks. I like Adams too. The biggest problem with any of them is the international slot.

Herbers doesnt take an international slot .

Another thing to add that seems to have flown under the radar , not one of this year's draft picks made into preseason camp , let alone got signed.

Well, all of them were in the third or fourth round. Plus, this season's draft was absolute trash (this coming from someone who forced himself to cover it).

Good for the league. This shows the growth of the game where they are not relying on 23 year old “rookies” who played four years of inferior soccer. They should take all emphasis off of the draft at this point. And that’s a good thing.

He WAS a 23 year old rookie in 2016 (picked 6th in the 2016 MLS Draft), and has spent years playing inferior soccer (three years at Creighton U. and much of 2017 and 2018 in USL).

His "play[ing] four years of inferior soccer" is why he does not take up an international slot. He earned his green card in July, 2017.

We all agree with this one.

I was talking about the fact that no drafted players even made it to the preseason camp.

    We agree that is good.

Too bad we don't have a secondary team, so we sign/draft/raise some kids and have them learn the game.

Pleased we took him from Philadelphia, who put that time and money into him.
