Supposedly MinnySoda is shopping Darwin Quintero. Anybody interested? Also reportedly Orlando would like to offload Dom Dwyer.
Depending on the pricetag I'd give Darwin a look, maybe kick the tires. But if he's not in the bargain bin, skip it.
I would change it up a little: Eeeeeeeh... no, not really... and no. Quintero is one of those players I’d take, but I wouldn’t spend much time worrying about him one way or the other.
McCarty on the move as expected. Nashville SC have found an MLS veteran to build their midfield around. The expansion side acquired Dax McCarty in a trade with the Chicago Fire on Tuesday, sending $50,000 in General Allocation Money, $50,000 in Targeted Allocation Money and a second-round pick in the 2021 SuperDraft to the Fire.
Nashville with another move. Still no news from Bez and the Crew. Nashville SC's busy day continued on Tuesday, as they have added their first defender. The expansion club announced the acquisition of LA Galaxy defender Dave Romney via trade, a move that was originally reported last week by The Athletic. The Galaxy received $225,000 in General Allocation Money for the 26-year-old defender who can play as a center back or a left back. The Galaxy will receive an additional $50,000 in General Allocation Money if Romney meets certain performance-based metrics.
The expansion teams continuing to build their roster. Inter Miami have acquired the Homegrown Player Rights to goalkeeper Drake Callender from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for a 2020 MLS SuperDraft second round pick, the clubs announced Tuesday. The Quakes may also receive up to $150,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) if incentives are met. Callender, 22, currently plays soccer at the University of California, Berkeley. He has made 52 appearances and kept 15 clean sheets during his time with the school and was invited to the US U-23 Men’s National Team training camp in September.
Montreal hired Thierry Henry as coach. Heres hoping he still is crushing hard on Wil Trapp. Bez needs to get him on the phone and start the bidding at 2 million.
I think it is a deep blue, but I feel what you're saying. I really don't want us to give up being the yellow team. There are no good options and certainly nothing I'd consider unique. Red, white and blue are all way over used. We already have 3 teams using those colors here in town in one way or another and scads across MLS. Green, burgundy, sky blue, orange and black are all out.
So... word is that Olsen will be staying in DC. But getting "better" assistant coaches. Hahahahahahaha.

@QuarkspaceDotCom I wish to commend the above use of the self-quote. It's hard to use it in a good way. This is a fine example. Historically bad team brings back entire squad for the following season It's a laughing out loud kind of move.
I'm curious as to what color Sacramento will wear when they debut in MLS. Their primary color is like a darkish red, but their secondary colors are "maple" and "egg shell" so basically like brown and a really light tan color. I actually would think a brown uniform could be cool, IF it's done right. St Pauli in Germany comes to mind. I know plenty of people would probably hate it and think its ugly, but it would be unique for the league.
Love Coltrane's version of that. It fits with his takes on My Favorite Things and Afro Blue. Que Sera Sera came on the musak when we were at Johnny Rockets at an outlet mall last weekend (they have a bookstore, plus I needed socks) and I wondered why Trane never covered that one. I was getting my Elvin Jones on playing along with it to the annoyance of my wife. They also played The Who's See Me Feel Me and The Beatles' A Day In The Life.
This is unfortunate. Here's hoping they get some of their transfer fee back from Necaxa. MLS has terminated DP forward Brian Fernandez's contract for failure to comply with the SABH program, per multiple sources. MLS also set to file lawsuit against Necaxa, source said: https://t.co/Or9NIMMQ1A https://t.co/qDk2mF0ICB— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) November 15, 2019
