We've won NOTHING under the new ownership! Oh, wait, this is the Optimism Thread. Undefeated under new ownership!
We won Montreal lost New England & Orlando tie Now all we need is DC to lose to Portland, Toronto get no more than a tie against Colorado and Seattle to beat NYRB and it would be a perfect week for us. Toronto 43pts (T) DC United 42pts (L) NYRB 41 pts (L) New England 40pts (T) Montreal 37pts (L) FIRE 37pts (W) Orlando 36pts (T)
1 out of 3 went our way, Seattle beat NYRB. So it was a OK week. Wait a minute is was a GREAT week, because our fearless leader sold his shares of the team to Joe. #2020
0-0 in Cincinnati 0-0 in New England If we sneak in a late goal and it stays tied in New England we will be ONE point behind New England.
With the tie the only team we can pass in New England. We are in if: New England goes 0-1-2 (42 pts) and we go 1-1-0 (42 pts), we get in on the second tiebreaker GD New England's remaining schedule @ Portland (L) vs. NYCFC (T) @ Atlanta (L) Our remaining schedule vs. Toronto (W or T) @ Orlando (W or T) Doable......................
And if Orlando fails to win either of their final two games. If Orlando wins one game, we have to win out. If Orlando wins both games, we are out.
Yeah, you're correct and Columbus still could pass Orlando, us, Montreal and New England Orlando and Columbus could have made more difficult if they held onto their leads, Vancouver scored in the 94th minute and Houston scored 2 after being down 1-0.
Almost three months to the day from the last post in this thread. With the signing of Heitz and, now, Wicky, I am, officially, Optimistic again. (until they do the next thing to pop that Optimism balloon).
I am very optimistic that, in four days, the Mods can take the balls out long enough to close this thread.
